Quick update on my Inter ML:

Just finished my 2nd season and it was very successful. Won the Coppa Italia again for the 2nd season in a row, finished 2nd in Serie A just 3 points behind Juve - so an improvement on last seasons 3rd place finish. The main achievement was in Europe where the 'underdogs' of Inter who had just won the Europa League last season took the Champions League by storm and won it at the first attempt..!

It was a very close final against Man Utd - they went 2-0 up with half an hour to play. It looked like the dream was over until 'Gabigol' scored a left footed stunner to make it 2-1 and with 85mins on the clock Renato Sanches headed home the equaliser to force extra time. Still all square after ET the match went to penos and Nerazzurri won the shoot-out 4-2 scoring all their pens with United missing 2.
I had never taken a penalty in this years game before but they seam a lot easier and realistic then last seasons 'hit and hope' style.

Transfer market ins & outs:

After struggling to make an impact Marco Asensio was sold to Atletico Mineiro for €18m - thats over €8m profit from a player I signed just 12 months ago.

With that sale plus our competition prize money I went out and strengthened the defence with the high profile signing of Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao for €39.4m on a 4 year contract. It was between him and Kurt Zouma who was €7m less but with João Miranda getting on a bit now I thought I would replace class with class.

More player development screenshots will be coming soon.

Laporte was a bit expensive...

 Yes, but worth it hopefully. I suppose just shy of €40m is a realistic price in todays transfer market for a talented 23yr old CB with room for progression...
...you should have seen what they originally wanted for him before I renegotiated :folarm:

No no, a realistic prices in todays market would be Jerome Boateng + €30m, or something like that.

My first Milan season ended with a fifth place, but the title in Europe League.

So in terms of gameplay everything is damn perfect.

But I also feel that it would be wrong not to mention the things that isn't working well. Master League is for me living because of the gameplay, which is off course the most important thing.
But otherwise I think there is a lack of ambition from Konamis side in this front.

That they actually proclaim that there is big changes in this front is wrong. The transfersystem is in my opinion just wrong. We're in 2016. I don't think we should use our own imagination to make it realistic.

I'm just sold 31 year old Abate for 30 million euros. In general the prices for old players is totally off. And in the same manner I have done some ridiculous buyings in Renato Sanchez for a small amount of money.

So actually the budget when starting is fine but when it's possible to sell old or third choices players for the same amount as start 11 players would cost, it is far to easy to have a lot of money to use and therefore a squad there is way better than it should be.

It is a big problem for me personally. I would like to see a option to choose the realistic way or the "everything is possible" way.

Otherwise there is some fine additions. I actually like the way that clublegends and so on have a bigger impact on the squad. This would give a good reason to keep some players instead of changing the whole team every summer (because this is possible!)

After this decent season (not more than that!) I was also offered the opportunity to become manager in Manchester United and also the National team of Spain.

I took the last one. But it is just to soon and maybe easy in that manner. I just don't think it should be us there is creating the realistic off-pitch game.

At the end of the day on the pitch, I'm loving this game. I love the way I actually can feel how important some players and signings are. I can feel the difference! But that is also way it's sad that the whole team can be stars in one season. I would love to have a longer process in that manner.

The summer transfer window has just ended at the start of my 3rd season and there have been some notable outgoings and incomings:

Finally got rid of D.Santon for €10.5m to Espanyol.

Promoted Pepe Reina from my youth team and immediately sold him to PSV for a nice €7.7m profit.

The one departure that I wasn't expecting was veteran CB João Miranda. Now 34 yrs old and with his OvR dropping from 87 at the start of the game to 83 he was well in the decline process. Everton came in with 3 offers, the last was a €33.9m bid that I simply could not turn down. I will miss his Maestro player role with the training experience he brings but Laporte is showing all the attributes of CB that could be just as good as Miranda, if not better.

With all that extra cash in the bank I wanted to bring in a quality wide attacking player with room to progress. I was deliberating between El Ghazi from Ajax or Toledo from Fiorentina but I decided to go with the Dutchman for his higher passing attributes.

This is how i'm set up now after 5 games played in Season 3:

I know Sané and El Ghazi have higher OvR (and really should be in the starting 11) but I just cannot drop any of my attacking front 3. They've been playing together since the start of my ML and work so beautifully in harmony on the pitch.

Aubameyang is really earning the tag of 'May Favourite Player' now after 2 outstanding seasons. He's just progressed to the Team Role of Superstar and his performances on the pitch have gone up another level since then. I've also trained him with the captaincy attribute so he maintains his form, also enhancing some others around him.

Started my new ML yesterday.
20 minute matches because its so hard to score, and difficulty Professional. Its either I suck in this game so bad or its in fact harder on professional than it was last year on superstar. Maybe when my team spirit will be 99 I will go level up. Pass support one plus manual through balls.
Two wins and two draws for now.
Heading overpowerd (dont use it often, feels like cheating), shooting underpowered. Konami never really found balance in their games. But refs are great, also new collisions very impressive.
Very hard to score anything else than rebound or header.
This year I picked Chelsea for my journey, two last years it was PSG and Inter, and I had so much fun with this mode.

Singed a legend straight away, and from his expresion I reckon he's about to do some damage.

Also my second buy. Conte wanted him in real life. Well, there is always pes.

Love this formation, something new Im trying out, kind of Conte like defence line, plus center back playing as holding midfielders.
After like 20 minutes in my first game I was losing 2-0. Last minute penalty converted by David Luiz made it 3-2 my way.
Tactics I didnt really changed because my team spirit would go tits up.
New advanced instructions look interesting, but havent picked my favorites yet.

Nice looking preview from my next game.
Gonna post more here because its always good to learn something, and maybe give some tips also, when I get good in this game.

I was the same at the start but don't worry, things will pick up, it just takes some time to learn the style of play in a new game. I dropped my difficulty level down 1 and tweaked about the settings until I found what worked for me.

Those formations are crazy! MY EYES...! :shocking: :D

...and maybe give some tips also...

Start Zouma, he's a beast - to good for a back up squad player.

Thats the best thing in pes, you can play them in so many different ways. Plus new advanced tactics, and it makes this game even more fun. You recommend any of them? I mean I dont quite get it. If I play high defensive line, and then put deep defensive line, or swarm the box in advanced tactics, what will happen? Its sounds cool, but whats really new from previous games. One that seems really fresh is gegenpress. Also, maybe overpowered, because its too easy to just take the ball, or lose it under pressure.

I start him lately instead of Ivanovic, so he also plays, as right back, but not going too high up the pitch.
I had him in pes 2015, good lad.

Inter ML Update:

Almost half way through my 3rd season now and the game has gone up another level! With each passing ML month PES17 is starting to feel like a really, really good series.

Can't wait for the Window:

Already have 3 signings lined up for January:

Á. Correa - On a FREE TRANSFER! :D Someone at Atletico Madrid is getting sacked for this one! 23yrs old - 81 OvR - worth €16.5m

H. Toledo - Wanted him at the start of this season but I went with El Ghazi instead but the more I looked at his stats the more I wanted him so I thought i'll sign him up as well, why not!

Jorge - Almost a like-for-like LB swap. Part Ex deal with J. Silva who has peaked at 24yrs old with 79 OvR. Jorge is only 21 and still developing with the same 79 OvR.

"I can be your Hero, baby":

Renato Sanches is like the fucking bodyguard in black & blue stripes! :ninja:

The guy next to him in the centre of the park isn't doing to badly ether...

...and another 'bromance' is developing at the back...

As you can see I've had a lot of players rapidly develop recently, and the good news is that if one of your players gets injured while on a 'flourish' they don't lose it once back fit again, just carries on from where it left off.

More player development:

(I've never had this amount of player growth in one season before)

Aubameyang just had 'one of those games' :shocking:

Did you say in an earlier post that you'd knocked the difficulty down one notch?

If so, might that explain better growth and Aubameyang bagging 5 goals in a game.

In my ML :-
For some reason, steering the default PES players to just above the relegation zone was enough to really please the board and also got me a job managing Spain!

I've got to say, I really can now see the affect of having better players and a higher Team Spirit. Playing initial matches as Spain using my formation (a clear departure from their normal one) dropped their Team Spirit and the players felt awkward. Just a few matches later and they are a dream to play with.

No, that was just at the start of my first season for 10 games or so. Just to get used to the new game and find the control settings that worked for me. I've been playing on my normal Top Player mode for the past 3 seasons.
(don't play on Superstar because I find it the same as Top Player with the exception of the odd game when Empoli turn into Barca and become unplayable, and therefor unrealistic.)

Yea team spirit is very important and makes the game a lot nicer and more enjoyable to play - when your passing just 'clicks' and you feel your strikers can score almost every time you attack..!
Thats what happened in the Aubameyang 5 goals / 1 assist game, but he had just won the European & World player of the year awards and reached the Team Role of 'Superstar' :D

Heh, yeah. I'm on Superstar in the Championship and the Wolves midfield/attack can be ridiculous. Mind you, I think I keep meeting them just after a transfer window, when I've been bedding in a new CB pairing. It'll be interesting next time I play them, as I have a set of 4 CBs who have each spent some time in the starting line up. I guess my Keeper will be in full down arrow red when they next come to visit. :crymore:

My laptop broke and I lost my save, but I did it over.
Instead of Bonucci I bought Godin, and I have a feeling that I will become addicted. Year after year this mode is more and more fun. I wasnt a fun at first, but after many hours playing, it became my favorite pes.
Im gonna post everything on my youtube channel, highlights from every game along with stats, couple of times a week. If you like that kind of thing check it out here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVrkMH_cGug
Its mostly for me, I regret that I didnt do it in previous years. Its gonna be interesting for me to go back in time, after its all finished.

As for tactics, I like playing hug the touchline, false fullbacks, and counter target (Fabregas). Also Im trainig Hazard for box to box player role, because he is literally everwhere on the pitch.
Pes 2017 is a proper football game and if you are wondering if its worth 50 pounds or so, than the answer is yes. Very realistic experience, still have some faults, like underpowered shooting, but last year we all put up with much more shit.
