I personally don't rate Beglin as a co-commentator, but at least we now have two ITV based commentators rather than a BBC/ITV combo.

As long as the commentary is much more fluid and more 'real' then I don't have a problem with who it is.

Beglin's even worse than Lawrenson :faceplm: although, as has already been said, it's what the commentators actually say that needs improving, although it appears Konami are doing that, which is encouraging.

Mind you, if it was up to me, they'd bring back Peter and Trevor :smug:

I loved the Japanese commentary from the W11 imports but I settle for the Spanish now when given the option.

I second this.

I find it a challenge to watch football on ITV due to Beglin

PES5 still sits on top of the world for me.

I was playing PES5 the other day, I couldn't stand the commentary!

However, it was much more fluid and the commentary was very frequent too :)

It would be nice to have PES2011 Commentary like watching live football on ITV/Sky.

Afterall, Konami did they they want it to be like we're watching a live TV broadcast :D

Very true, but also very difficult.

Neither PES nor FIFA have released a title I'll listen to the commentary on for more than a couple of games. I do live in hope though.

if konami does not give them a good script any commentator will suck, they should be able to say the liscensed team in names like "manchester utd has the lead!" and make full sentences with the players name, like "fernando torres has scored twice in this game".

I agree...

Even if the teams are not licenced, it would still be nice to hear the commentators say 'London FC kick of the game'

Or even better when there is a derby game, for example Liverpool vs Ev**ton, the commentators could at least say 'It's a big game today, it is the Merseyside Derby'

They're not saying Liverpool or Evert*n, so no licencing issues there is there?

Really? I hate the idea. Imagine uploading a fully edited option file and still having the commentator calling Arsenal 'North London'.

Questioning if a manager has lost his marbles because he hasn't changed his team at half-time, just because it's a low-score draw or you're 1-0 down. Very few top managers are that reactionary.

I've always hated that.

As a Liverpool fan, I've always felt a bit bad regarding my new found resentment of Mark Lawrenson, who is a Liverpool Legend in all accounts, but he's terrible! His World Cup performance has been cringeworthy, he's just trying to crack jokes constantly, which all go down like a lead balloon!

However, Jim Beglin came to prominence for last seasons Europa League, and he was even worse!

As long as Farmer Mick McCarthy doesn't get invited, i'll be alright. ;)

I cannot stand Lawro. He sounds like some outdated bitter grumpy granddad and provides commentary thats out of touch with reality. I seriously could do a better a job, offers no good insight and obseverations on the match are obvious with lame jokes and camp innuendo that are not funny.

I like mick because he offers something different, even though he is monotone he is no holds barred and says whats on his mind while providing good alternative insight as never sits on the fence saying the obvious cliche tripe

Well said.

That'll be as he talks utter bollocks.

A mate suggested Lineker as a good option. A few years back I'd likely have slapped him. Now though... I wouldn't mind.

He doesnt talk bollocks he actually good co commentator, not the best but his frankness and opinion on events is usually spot on and breath of fresh air, most others dont have the balls to say what they really think of the match, and gloss over controversial issues prefering to be diplomatic and giving run of the mill opinions stating the obvious or bias for when the top teams play.
