New Diving feature in PES 2008

How can you know if something doesnt work if you dont even know how to do it?

I think its not on the PS2 version anyway.

its the same as EARugby adding in collapsing the scrum/maul and handling in the ruck ....9/10 you get penalised for it, theres the off chance you will get lucky. If thats anything to go by, the sneaks out there will use it but theyll get pulle dup for it.

HannibleL316: You didn't understand, I was trying the L1+L2+R1 command (along with numerous other L+R combinations) and it didn't work, so I thought maybe I forgot the exact command but couldn't find it anywhere again.

On the nex gen consoles it's L1+L2+R1 but i don't think it has been included in the PS2 version.

Thoughts on this new feature in PES 2008?

Personally I think it is a terrible choice by Konami. First of we are trying to get rid of this crap from football, and now here we have it appearing in football video games, not exactally sending out the right message.

Second, online play is going to be full of wee you know whats, constantly hitting whatever button it is whenever they get within a 25 yard radius of your goal.

I have also seen video footage of the dive, and you can do it when someone isn't even close to you, and it looks totally ridiculous.

I hate diving, and this is a totally poor choice by Konami to include this in the game, somthing against the rules of football. Its like having an athletics game where you can take performance inhancing drugs before a race.

Others thoughts?

Well I've received my copy of PES 2008 on monday (PS3) and it's a great feature. You should be really careful using it as you will get a yellow card for every fake. It's good and not a spoiler at all.

Diving is really hard anyway, i earned a penalty out of 1 in like 30 attempts
and when you fail you get a yellow so is not exactly rewarding for diving, pes just introduced something that's real in football.
i think the success and fail line they got spot on, no complaints.
and it adds another small dimension to the game.

too many bookings

Does anyone have any tips that can help me win a free kick when diving as I haven't managed to successfully dive yet, have ended a game with 9 men a few times though due to excessive theatrics on the pitch!
