New GTA! (PS2)

I just read there's coming a new GTA to playstation, well it's Liberty City stories but it's made in a PS2 version...
The release date is (for now) 2006-04-30 So it's not far away..

I heard about this, didn't know if it was true or not, but before I knew, I was gutted because I love the GTA series and I wasn't prepared to buy a PSP just to play it.

Only problems,
No swimming.
No helicopters.
The missions are apparently really short.

The good points.

GTA3 was the most addictive (not best, it is the second best I feel, as San Andreas has way more features) GTA ever, probably because of the layout of Liberty City. Hopefully with a few tweaks this could be the best GTA so far.

Does anyone know whether the PS2 version will have the multiplayer options similar to the PSP version (online or offline, I want both). I've researched around but have yet to find any details.

i dout its a port from psp. as it would have been released in the same date, a rumor i heard is that it mite be another story hense the name "stoires".

I belive you are, don't get me wrong it was class the soundtrack was pure sauce but it was to easy,
Gta 3 - 2-3 months no shit! i was terrible at it, class game though.
Vice - 2 weeks
SA: - 1 month for 100%

Can't wait for this, should be saucy.

Are you sure it wasnt because you already knew how to play the game due to playing GTA3?
Do me a favor, go play GTA 3 again, it will take even less time than Vice City did now that you know how to play the game.

Again, it took less time than GTA3, but it is a larger game than both GTA3 and Vice City combined. I'm still going to say it was due to you already knowing 99.9% of the game mechanics.

Poff this news has cheered me up immensly. GTA is the best series ever, and Liberty City is the best ever city to host the game in. This should be very good!
But I'd like them to get the helicopters in as they're cool, and make sure that the game isn't too short and easy.

Like Dan said, 2 easy, although I thought SA was too easy too. I haven't even completed GTA3, after a month I was on the last level and stuck, so I gave up. Vice City took me 2 weeks and SA took me 10 days.

have to agree that GTA3 was the hardest playing that game was like a breath of fresh air nothing like it had been seen before.Vice city improved on everything ghraphics soundtrack and san andreas well that has to be the greatest game ever apart from pro evo.I can only look forward to the ps3 and wonder what the next GTA has for us.

Oh sorry I didn't really think on that one, all I really know is that it was for about 75 hours, I guess it was about one week then, not sure though.. :unsure:
