The graphics look much better and I like the pace of the game.

The goalkeepers are still dodgy

The computer AI has improved (for the CPU, I haven't noticed anything different for your own players) - Team Vision is more apparent.

The likenesses are better than ever before.

I'm not liking the new default controls. I've changed the manual passing, but I was hoping that would mean the tricks would be back on the right stick, but no avail. I'm not sure how to do flip flaps, although I did it once, accidentally, with C. Ronaldo. It's just a matter of getting used to the new controls, I guess.

I'm not sure if this will be included in the full version, but I like the fact you can quickly move to the second half and Top Menu.

Like all Konami football games, it usually takes me two to three weeks to become comfortable with the new gameplay.

I've played a few games and it hasn't impressed me a lot. Ball feels like it's made of stone, far too slow gameplay. It is better than PES2008 but nowhere near the standards set by EA. Fifa stands out to be a lot better this year.

I can't wait for tomorrow haha :w00t:D

Couldn't agree more my friend, couldn't agree more.

Well, I have just finished a long session on the demo and in my opinion this is a bit of a disappointment to me :(

Obiviously there are some improvements but just not what I was expecting!
I won't be buying the game this year sadly.

Arghhh its really annoying how the game play seems alot better but the actual animations suck ass....i can understand Konami have probably used there time tweaking the gameplay and not really changed the animations, if they improved them this game could have been killer!

It's Supposed to Bubble
Can't say I'm too impressed. It's still far too easy to dribble and stuff and the defenders are far to tentative and just stand there and watch you run by them. It seems like they just took 2008 and smoothed out some of the major flaws and called it good.

I'm really thinking about getting FIFA this year as I was quite impressed with the demo, but the only problem is that it's a bit of an unknown quantity. I know that no matter how crap or samey PES is that I'm still going to play loads of it and, apart from some annoyances, enjoy myself while doing it. FIFA seems like it could be really great, but I'm afraid that I could buy it but then end up getting bored of it after a week, which is the reason I haven't bought a FIFA since either 05 or 06 I think (comfortably the worst football game I've ever played).

I need to score with him then!

I scored an awesome free kick with Ronaldo (top right corner :smug:) and he ran slid on the floor and crossed his arms. I can't remember in what game he done it, but he definitely has done it before.

The more I play the game, the more I like. I just love the fact how you can defend in open play and corners.

coulda, woulda, shoulda !! c'mon fellas, no matter what Konami did with this title, we would still be going " aww if only Konami did this " etc

What we have is MORE than enough to keep us going for another year, think about it. The become a legend mode sounds very exciting to me, the master league as always, not to mention playing against friends

More importantly; the online play. If the online play is 100% lagfree, this Pro will be up there with the best IMO. I dunno much about the legends mode but 1on1 against a few guys on here sounds exciting to me !

New Pro games ALWAYS take a while to get used to. I was even contemplating not downloading the demo at all because i knew 5 minutes would simply not be enough for me. Luckily im a PC User and downloaded that Patch that makes the game 15 minutes long at my choosing

Question to all : Whoever has doubts about it, are any of yous PC users of the game WITH the Patch ? 5 minutes simply isnt long enough imo, soon as ur about to get ur rhythm, its half time etc

No-one falls in love with Pro on first few outings, that is a fact !

I don't know if it was intentional, but after giving away a foul, Van Nistelrooy had a nonchalant/apathetic, surprised, but accepting look on his face. You know, when people arch their mouth so that the corner of their mouths point down - Robert De Niro is good at it.

I scored a free-kick with Henry. It curled around the Madrid wall and just about crept in, an inch away from the post. The keeper didn't have a chance.

It's annoying when you want to turn one way, then change your mind, then you end up doing the 360 turn.

True, Who at Komani thought: "oh lets make the roulette and all those other tricks on he same analog as one you move with, and lets use the right analog for passing", who ever did that should be fired. I mean i can make better controls than that. But in the demo use "slct. a player" and change the view to vertical and trust me Konami did and excellent job,if thats how be a pro will be its gonna be good in my opinion.

Magic is definitely back! THe more I play the demo the mroe I love it as I adjust to the style of play. Had a great 3-1 win over Liverpool (as Man U) just now, followed by a 2-0 (only on Regular though). And I'm actually getting used to the tricks being on the left stick, and I quite like thm being there! Assigning all movement to the left stick feels so natural to me now.

However, I think the RIGHT stick should have been used to move a second player off the ball into a specific location, rather than manual pass. OR it should be used to shoulder barge in the same way it is used to body check in the NHL games.

I suppose the champions league mode could really make this game...you know like having the players coming out to the champions league music!
