I have a P.I.M.P bin and a cue etc and now am going to patch the game.
(I'm talking about WE I J by the way).

I was about to get the latest Jonnyboy patch but noticed that you can either get it for DATA_E or DATA_J - which do i download or will either work?

Have been answered already :)

You´re not completely right Outsider, making a rip and then patching it works perfectly for me. jb8.3. and the XPatch are universal patches, that´s the only reason why they work with your method. Most patches won´t be universal though and won´t work...

Larsson, yeah you're right, but i'm happy that those 2 patches finaly works :)

making a rip and then patching it works perfectly for me.
Well not for me :( that's why i was looking for help.

But I still have one question. Is it possible to apply an DVD ISO file to an PPF patch? Or does it only works with a Bin file (from the CDrip)? Patches like jb15.03.04.ppf. I mean an ISO image file is an image of a DVD/CD-ROM, right? And isnt a BIN file also a kind of ISO image file, but then just renamed with another extension? I'm just curious :)

You wanted to say "a ppf patch to a DVD iso" I assume :)
You´re right about the extensions, bins and isos have different formats, iso is mode1 and bin is mode2/2352, but both are image files. And you can apply patches to both of them. I prefer bins though because you can scan them with CDMage for corrupted sectors, you can´t do that with isos.
There is no patch which works only with an iso and not with a bin and vice versa. However there are patches for the English rip, for the Japanese one, for the whole DVD, for the data_x.afs etc.

WE7 patches are only for WE7.
PES3 patches are only for PES3.
WE7:IJ (English) patches are only for WE7:IJ (English).

Capiche?
(or however it's spelt)

Hello, I made japanese rip of my WE7I with KF rip patch. Then I opened this iso (638mb) with CDmage and saved it as bin/cue in mode2/2352. Then I patched this bin with ppf-o-matic by WEndetta patch, parma patch, fix 1.1, fix 1.2. And then I opened already patched bin with Cdmage and scaned for corrupted sectors. There was 728 000 errors!! What should I do? I really want to patch my WE!
Sorry for my English, i'm Russian.

Some help needed please. I'm trying to use the latest jonboyo patch for PES3 (with real kits).
When you are done with importing all the files using CDMage, you scan them. Fine. No errors. Then how do you finish using CDMage?

1. Exit
2. Save as - overwriting the original .cue
3. Save as - new file.

Thanks. My 100% record of burning patches for WE7 & PES3 is gone due to this patch :(

I believe i'm having problems with this stage. You press save and are asked whether to overwrite the existing cue and then the same for the bin. A window pops up asking which mode to convert to, but no-matter which one i select it returns an error. Anyhow i still burnt the file but it crashes at the point where the players are in the tunnel....any help would be most appreciated.

I think I maybe having problems using the slide card, probably on step 4 where it says you have to close the cd tray comletely by pulling it back to the left.
I ried the original pes3 cd by using the slide card trick but that will not even work.
Can anyone help me out?

i fixed my problem, by selecting the spanish language at the beginning.....the game loads and then once in the game change the language to english and hey presto a fully patched working version........

Over the course of the last few days i've downloaded 5 patches and had similar result..most crashed when the players were stood in the tunnel....but picking the spanish at the start has got all of them working......my original sources were ripped from a dvd and i had a jap and an english commentary version.....

Can anyone help me out?

I've just downloaded Rool Mix Patch 4.0. I've decompressed it with Win Rar. Got a clean image of WE7 using CDR WIN, patched it with pff-o-matic, scanned and rebuild sectors with CD Mage (Beta Version) and tried to burn it with both Nero and CDR WIN at the lowest possible speed (4x). And still it is not working!!

When I put the CD in my PS2, it displays the PS2 logo and afterwards, it doesn't display anything!

My mod chip is advasce! I think it's supposed to be ok..

What am I doing wrong?

Please help! Thanx a lot!

someone help!!
I finished patching pes3 with joboyo patch and the patch wont work. The iso size was 613mb and the bin size was 704mb which is supposed to be correct.
But when i load up the game using the slide card the outside of the screen goes red/blue.
What should I do?

I'm still trying to patch my english retail PES3 without success! I follow the guide to the letter but nothing works. Every burn I make just won't boot. The screen goes to the picture of my memory card and the disc (which the PS2 recognises as a PS2 disc, blue etc) but then nothing happens. It just won't boot the disc.

1. I open up the game and I get quite a few data_e.afs files in a row. Do I apply the ppf patch to the first data_e.afs? Or all of them?

2. If I don't want the option file then I don't need to add the fileover afs do I?

3. Do I import the SLES file that comes with the patch over the existing SLES file?

I can't see for the life of me what I am doing wrong. Please help!!

Ciggy, try to use ECCRegen instead of CDMage for scanning, I´m not sure about the chip, never heard of that one

lazandreas, the info you gave us is useless, be more precise

Mumpleaser, which patch are you using mate ? There is only one data_e.afs, the others are data.i, data.f etc. There are some patches which have to be applied to the data_e, and some which are applied to the image
The fileover contains player names and skills, so if you don´t import it and don´t use an Option file all names, line-ups, skills will remain like in the default game.
Yes, you have to import the new SLES over the old one.

luszpynskyj, sorry can´t help with slide card questions, hopefully Jag can

It doesn´t matter. If you use the cue it just points the tool to the bin file, so you could use the bin straight without the cue. The bin file is the image which contains all info, just compare the size of them ;)
