OMG the AI in this game..... OMG!!

That's good, since the last game's AI was dumb like hell, examples are the goal wide open with no goalkeeper and they dribble for no reason at all instead of shooting, they barely have a successful attack etc;
I really hope this AI is harder, finally a challenge for me. Can you download the demo by PS3 Network? If so, I will do it right now.

When the game comes out my first game will be Benfica vs Barcelona at top player, and I shall beat the 'mighty' Barça.

It's true. If you're dribbling with R2, press R1 as well when near the defender and you'll do a speed burst and go past him (if it goes right of course)...very good with people like Bale or Lennon on the wings.

They could of maybe had a bit in the training center (they only have the new off the ball control training and the new defensive training, not sure if you've tried mate, worth checking out if not). Though of course if you pause the game you can go to the button list and scroll along to the 'new controls' section and it'll explain anything that is new to the game (which you probably knew already anyway).

That shit works when it wants to and how the hell does one on ones work. In theory its good but practically with buttons nothing happens

In a free kick i just add a player to each side of the wall the press circle and forward so half jump and half runs so mostly this works

HAAAAA!!! Take that cheating AI!!!! I shut out Bayern Munich using Inter 3 times in a row on professional 1-0, 1-0 adn 1-0 .... I set up 3 formations, 4/4/2 off possession, 3/4/3 counter attack and 4/5/1 all out defense. I used the different formations at different times depending on the situation and it worked! I actually figured out how to time my challanges and take the ball from freakn Robbin!!! R2 is a monster when you get good at it! Messi and Ronaldo abusers will hate this game online when they run into players who know how to defend :lol:

I'm starting to enjoy this game again now:joel:.
Finally clicked how to contain the A.I on top player and do damage at the other end.
One thing that has helped has just forget trying to get runners getting in behind using the manual off the ball control and just using that off the ball movement to create space in the middle of the park or spread the pitch with your full-back's and wingers.Patience really is the key to defending, and i'm not just talking about defending using your back four.They can still always pull my pants down at any time the A.I but not by skipping past all my defense with those ridiculous runs.Still hoping for big improvements for the final release though.
I think single player mode will be amazing this year because winning trophies on top player is now is going to an actual challenge .

I've heard from a friend that if you press R2 and R1 together when you have the ball near an opponent you get a sprint start to get away from the opposition. If thats true it'll bloody help on top player AI. Why are so many of the controls not fully explained on the demo? Why does the demo not include dribbling training? Meh

Why can't I play online on the demo? Why does the demo not include master leagueo? Why can't I have access to all the teams besides, inter,Spurs, Bayern and Inter?

Stop being a pillock. I hate 'enabling' you like this ... but as ridiculous as it is I will ... Explaining how the controls work effectively and showing you how to dribble would make the game more desirable to buy. Feel free to reply with something utterly absurd again.

yes its great! the best pes of this generation and the best since the PS2 PES6 game.

This pes demo is immense and i am loving it... So so challenging and really back to brilliance.

I always start off my first game on regular to warm me up and then go on a great run on professional. The other night i had some brilliant games... Lost 4-2 in one game and then won the next one 4-3.. However i am picking it up a bit now and managed a 4-1 win and then a 3-0 win on professional..

However i turned it up to top player and lost 1-0 to Rangers... Played another and drew 0-0.

So much fun, i am loving that the AI is more challenging and taking a lot more shots.

I dont see why so many people complain about the goalkeepers... They have improved a lot... One game i won 2-3 days ago 1-0.... I had 20 shots, 18 being on target and only managed 1 goal due to some amazing goalkeeping. The keepers do some great saves and dont seem to flap as much and look hopeless like they did on pes2011.

So if the game doesn't teach you the full extent of the controls, then you will be put off buying the game, even though in the full version you''ll get those features?

I'm hardly going to stress over you calling me a pillock am I? Especially when you're the one crying over the smallest things in the demo.

My advice is to you is, change the settings to beginner level, then you can dribble past as many defenders as you want at will. And win every game you play
