Played some random people late last night. One guy chose Inter so I went with Athletico Madrid and won 1-0. At the end he posted that I was lucky. Fair enough.

I suggested we play with different teams, he agreed. Quelle surprise he chose Inter again. er, ok whatever. I went with the might Bolton (after earlier having played as Blackburn while not knowing which team was actually Bolton) and the game ended 3-0 to Bolton. And he pines about me being lucky. How many goals do I need to score before he stops saying I'm lucky?

Actually, a lot of people I play say I'm lucky. No clue why. I play an open game and opponents have a fair share of chances too. If little Bolton can beat might Inter then it must just be down to luck I guess.... :innocent:

I almost won a match 5-0 today.

I played against HEBO who hosted the first half as Barcelona and I went with Inter. At half time it was 1-0 to Inter with an Adriano strike. He was playing 3 forwards pushed as far forward as possible in Edit Position and looking to through ball it down the wings and cross it in. I hacked down Ronaldinho in the 9th minute, had him stretchered off and got a yellow card. Not sure if he was injured as he kept him on after considering a sub. He didn't produce much.

I played fairly well in the second half. Martins banged in a curling shot into the top left corner from the edge of the D. Then a corner came in and Adriano scored with one of those almost overhead sideways flying volleys. Then Recoba scored from the edge of the area with a fricking Rabona (unintentional) which I haven't done since about WE8.
Adriano then banged in a very powerful shot into the bottom corner. Then the lag started. The game froze for about 10 seconds and then continued. This happened a few times until the 85th minute when he disconnected.

Bitch. I've lost a whole lot of matches so it's not asking too much if I am allowed to win one with a half-decent scoreline.........

So watch out for HEBO. He will quit when losing and then try to insult your mother :D

Could you please post your formation and how you manage "air play"...?
I actually opened a thread about that in the "hints" section...
I'm a decent player,(rank 55 or something...)but 80% of the goals i concede are due to bad "air play"...

ME AND MY MATE BEAT DREE rank1 in a 4-3 thriller i was Real Madrid and he was Brazil, however by now i should know that this is manditory! he took a surprise 3-0 lead just before half time, and just after the break i pulled one back through zizou, i scored another around the 70 minute mark and looked like i was in for a loss when the time was nearing ninety minutes and in stoppage time..... Dree came in with a careless challenge on robinho, giving me a chance to pull level with seconds left i pulled level raul dispatching the kick, and scored in the first half of extra time and held on for the win! an amazing game! 74 points gained!!! ROONEY8 is the master lol, at least he was that game!

I was on a mission tonight. The mission was this, to find the artist currently known as best_at_pes (on this forum), or Stallion for real. He's ranked in the top 100 ( 90th last I checked) and I found him!

Game 1:

Buggers. We spent too long discussing what teams we should be and cruelly fate gave me AUSTRIA and gave him BRAZIL.

The score ended 2-0 to Brazil, although I thought I played ok. Austria are shite and I missed an open goal plus one from about 4 yards. Never be them.


Game 2:

England v England this time. It went a little something like this:

Firstly, I'd thought I'd give Downing a run out, and what does he do!? Concedes a fcking penalty which Stallion cooly slots away.
Then I score (Owen)
Then I score again, fcking amazing goal from about 4 miles (Lampard).
Stallion scores on the dot of half time with Rooney after a Jenas pass from a FK.

HALF TIME

I score with Defoe in the second half.
Stallion scores with Lampard I think..

And on the 90th minute, the last bloody second of stoppage time, he scores!!

Final score 3-4 to Stallion.




Amazing games though, well the second one. Definately the best player I have played so far, and this was me coming off the back off an 8-0 victory over some poor bastard.

Well done mate, well deserved.

Next round - Zyg. Har har!

I've only played about 25 games so unfortunately I'm not gathering points at the speed of light to get into the top 100 - it will happen though, believe me.

One day I will beat Stallion! ;)

Today i played some guy ranked in the top 50. He was winning 2-0 in the first 6 in game minutes, he must of thought i was well shite until i came back and won 3-2 in the second half. A sweet last minute header gave me the victory...I wasn't pleased at all, im always a gracious player.

And another guy i played, again ranked pretty high picked Brazil after i picked fiorentina, he lost 3-0 and didn't take it very well from the abuse i recieved after the match, i thought it was quite funny though. He called me a "dirty c**t" and a few other things.

Most of the time though i track down the top ranked players and try and get them to play me...They always pick Brazil.

Stevie great game! Like i said i almost had a heart attack from you coming back and when you scored that goal with Lampard, (that was closer to the halfway line than my goal) i thought i was in for it.

But, i won again :D

Although, to make you feel better, you are the latest victim of my recent winning spree. I have now won 19 in a row when two days ago i was stuck on 10, hence boosting my rank to 76!

Oh joy, that makes it feel much better. I was on the start of my winning streak (of about 6 I think) when i chose to play you, bloody Austria.

That El Franko Lampardo goal is probably the best I have scored on PES5, right into the top right corner, annoyed that I couldn't save it! Imagine if that game was recorded, the PES world would have loved watching that, true classic.

Anyhow I'm blithering, again, that winning streak is damn impressive, keep it up so I can ruin it for you. ;)
