I also noticed the gameplay changes.
The dribbling is much smoother and the animations are too. The replays also have better framerate.
I also noticed that the game is slightly slower.

If they improve the gamplay great, but if they don't Im ok with the way it is now. I just want the refs to improve... I keep getting screwed online with people sliding and taking me out in the box when I'm about to score and no penalty is given. Its the one thing that drives me crazy about the game. So hopefully, if anything I hope the refs are better. Maybe reducing Christiano Ronaldos speed and ability would be nice too but thats probably asking to much! :lol:

Well for the record, I too see all the changes. I don't see how anybody could possibly miss them honestly.

The biggest one for me is the crossing - much much harder now to score from crosses and divingheaders, and the early cross is almost entirely ineffective. But I agree that there are big changes in AI, passing, off the ball runs, headers, referees, dribbling, etc as other have said. If you don't believe it, try to score a cheap goal from an early cross. It's actually very common now to see headers miss the net!!!

PS - Im on the 360 in north america, got the patch last night.

Ok us xbox360 people are getting mixed messages - I'm based in Australia and the only thing available to download is the new DLC. We have not yet been offered v1.03 for some reason?? I can be sure of that because before playing online it shows you what your latest patch is and mine still says v1.02. This would mean that all of us with xbox's wouldn't be seeing any gameplay changes and the PS3 peeps could be.... creating this split in opinions?

Why have xbox users not been given the new patch????

I have an XBOX 360 and I downloaded the new patch a few hours ago (it wasn't available yesterday unlike PS3). I'm from the UK, so I'm guessing if you're not in Europe it might take a littel longer before you get it.

Proof, if ever it was needed, that this is all in peoples imagination. The 360 patch was out today. What you downloaded was the dlc, not the patch. This whole scenario is totally bizarre. You didn't even have this magical patch yet you noticed all the changes?

The first thing i noticed was the game seemed a little slower, also the refs were dishing the cards out.

I don't see any gameplay changes =( and i have downloaded both DLC & patch for xbox today. I sooooo wanted it to feel different but nothing yet - feels the same to me. Maybe after a few more games i might see some difference?

I'm ps3 user, after downloaded the patch 1.03 and DLC...its very..very...obvious that the speed of the ball move around has been turned down. And the player dribbling ability is more smoother and more easier than previous. Regarding the referee, yup Konami has tweak for the referee, now the referee blow the whistle more often around the box area, but still under par ( IMO ).

For those haven't noticed anything regarding the tweaks from the konami, please be patient and try few more games.

It was a patch, what it fixes I am not sure, although it was exactly the same size as 1.2 so not sure if it fixes anything other than to allow DLC

There was also some DLC with the additional boots etc.

The refs are no different. I was hacked down twice, once outside the area, played on, and then one of the most blatent hacks in the box and no pen.

I also hacked someone down and no freekick.
