Does the 'saving system data' take ages for everyone else too?? It takes the best part of 2 minutes to save. Any idea why or how to make it save quicker?

Sounds like a clogged up HDD. Make sure you have at least 2gb of space on your HDD for the windows paging file, and give your HDD a defrag and disc check. Also delete all temp files, and check your registry for errors.

Defragment the drive if you haven't already done so.

My Computer -> Right-click on the drive -> Properties -> Tools tab -> Check Now

I've defragmented the drive and got Uniblue RegistryBooster which i ran and fixed problems but it's still slow. Im reinstalling pro and see what happens. I downloaded an option file which had all the premiership kits and transfers so wondering if that's what caused it to run slowly. Has anyone else downloaded a similar option file and had a similar experience or downloaded it and it made no difference to save time please let me know

What type of patch is it? Does it require KitServer to run, or does it run from the PES2009_EDIT01.bin/PES2009_UNIFORM.bin files?
I had a similar problem last year when I was using KitServer, so I stuck with patching the .img files instead.

i got this problem too, however i reinstalled Direct X then reinstalled the latest video card driver (mine is nVidia 8800 GT) restarted my computer then it's running again.
(the game were crashing immediately after pressing any thing in the "press any button" screen).

You know there was a similar thing with Mercs 2 and Direct X. Some of the game discs have a dodgey DX9c package that caused slowdowns and crashes. I wonder if a fubared build of Dx has been circulated to publishers for game discs. I know when you install PES 09 it auto-updates Dx which I fraking hate as im on Vista, I dont need no stupid DX9c update.

Methinks a few peeps should download and instal the newest DirectX 9c direct from MS to make sure its all ok.

even if you have a DX10 system (i.e. Vista) like me, you have to update your DX9 files. i think that we have both in Vista. i have experienced problems with many new games after installing Vista which many were fixed by installing the latest DX9c.

The 1.10 patch helped me out for two days...

On Friday me PES2009 was working fine.I played all modes, saved a Be a Legend file, and loaded the file, nothing went wrong.

But today, I can't get into any game.

Exhibition and other matchs crash right after I press "match start".And Be a Legend crashes after I load the saved file, if I try to start a new game, it crashes immediately.

I tried almost all resolutions, from 1920x1200(largest I can run), to 640x480. It worked fine in 1920x1200 on Friday.

Does anyone know how to slove this problem? Or can anyone tell me a possable reason?

My computer equipts:
Intel Q9450 quad core, ATI 4870, 4G DDR2 ram, over 200G of free space on the disk PES is installed. All drivers are updated to the latest version, runing on WindowsXP SP3.

Your problem sounds similar to mine, i have to install the patch every time i want to play the game, bizarely this seems to work!
i keep meaning to tell konami this, but i havent quite got around to it...

What I meant was I already get notified by Vista of any updates to MS stuff I have. Any time a new DX comes out I get it that day. I dont need games telling me to update or in the case of PES automatically doing so when its not needed and could cause issues.

Even with XP, suddenly PES today stopped running at all.
When I'm removing kitserver, all are fine.
When I'm using kitserver, PES is not running - not even a 1 sec.
HELP!

Well, I'm on Vista64 and using Kitserver to play on high quality and the game is playing flawlessly (or at least talking like a pice of software). The last time i got my directx updates was with Assassin's Creed.. so i must thank Ubisoft for crashing my laptop enough to have pes2009 play very well
