Pes 14 opinion thus far

myzer2005 its not the 1st time i have read one of your posts were you are insulting people, and you need to clarify when your messages have jokes in them cos tbh your just not funny. and if you dont know that your come across in a belittling mannor towards others when communicating on here well it must just be that its just in your nature to do this, online anyway, maybe like i said before, the fact that an online forum is so anonymous it makes you feel more cocky than you would be if it were chatting face to face round a table. that said its probably best to steer this conversation back to the main focus being football and pes in particular, and having tried pes2014 on ps3 again today i can confirm that pes2013 is still far superior to pes2014 still, a bit like the way i am far superior to myzer2005 (joke)... (or ist it?)....

To be fair mate, and you know you and I usually share the same thoughts in these posts, alot of the time I come across as a complete ass, I think it's just an English thing, hence the rest of the world hates us, even our neighbours... lol, but just a comment on Spanish and English football. I still think English is the best, as the Spanish game is based around Paul Scholes and our ability to hound teams and win the ball back by applying pressure all over the pitch whilst keeping in formation... We just do it at a faster pace and it makes it more exciting. It's just a crying shame foreigners can do it better than the English Internationals... Well, If the England manager ever chose the right players instead of moaning about our pool, we might do a better job. But on club level, I'd still go English football as does the majority of the world... Still the most watched league in the world.

Of course she didn't. But that has nothing to do with PES lol.

It does seem like all this hate is in fact coming from the console versions though (maybe a select few sheeping with the PC version also) - But you have to understand, those consoles are 6 years old... Plus the new PES has a new engine which obvious hasn't been tested fully as there are some stupid things happening still in the new game. I am not afraid to slate something if I think it deserves it.

But as I have said before, it is a step backwards, but a step in the right direction. I reckon if they added back some of the older features and tweak a few things like the rubber banding in the next instalment the game is going to be beast.

Lol, there is a case for your argument, but being a Palace fan, you won't understand, they always give a 100%, win lose or draw, we love them. There is something special down at selhurst, no big ego's, no huge wage packets, just grit and determination and it reminds me of how footballers should behave.

I think I just done it again by accident, if you want to merge my mum joke please do, as for freedman, don't worry to much, he will try and sort out your defense before attack, that's what he did with us, and we reaped the rewards (and awards) after we thought he was going to get sacked, I'd still have him over Holloway, even though you have started poor. Don't be surprised if you go on a 20 game unbeaten run at some point... We was playing the best football in the league under him with a "so called" mediocre squad.

Love the game, last yr I ended up hating pes 13 and played FIFA, this yr although also buying FIFA as my boy wanted it, we've only been playing pes. I play everything manual. One frustration I have is not being able to actually jump in the air for a header on goal. Not sure if it's a timing thing or broken code but it gets annoying when the rest of the time I'm really enjoying the game. Shame about the stadium editor gone as I'm sure Robbyeron could have made an amazing argentine of as he has done for yrs.

Is your shooting on advanced fella? If it's manual, then i'm guessing it's the timing because I scored a few on manual, also when you cross you more or less have to put power on full for it to land on someones nogger.

Like a lot of people I've been left completely nonplussed by the new advanced through ball mechanic, I've found it hit and miss at best. For certain balls over the top it works brilliantly but for others ie; a simple pass out to the full back, it's far too fiddly.

In last year's PES I got used to utilising the manual passing system for more precise through balls but it seems like this new advanced through ball has replaced that. Only problem is that the manual passing is far more user-friendly and personally I much preferred it.

My main question is; has anyone switched the through ball system back to basic and then just used the manual passing like last year's PES? I'm thinking of giving up on the advanced through ball system and doing that tbh because it's ruining my enjoyment of the game so far.

I'm on the 360, didn't realise that it was considered to be broken by the PES community at large. Hopefully they'll patch it along with all the other little bits and bobs that need changing.

Will probably revert back to basic and use manual passing again. Although looking through the game's controls there doesn't seem to be any mention of manual passing, I'm sure it still exists though.

Yea there was a huge problem with advanced throughball and shooting on consoles, I spent days trying to work it out... Saw my mate play it on PC though, works fine... gits lol
