Can you play 2 player league in this version, sadly lacking last time round!!!

Really want to know the answer to this too, also if I'ts possible to play 2 player Champions League, as in switching the controller settings after kick off so that i can controll my mates opponents and vice versa, Really would be great if this is possible on PES2009, even If its only in Konami cup mode or Leagues, Beats playing exhibition matches all day long fr sure.

Official PES2009 feedback thread (Full Release)

Ok gents I've finally got to play the full release and words can not describe how relieved I am that she's back to her good auld self. Half way through the first game I started getting a lump in my throat.

The good times are back, not half as laggy as the demo, the ball sounds fine, player faces are excellent and more than anything else the game play feels a lot smoother, players aren't smashing into each other every second either so it doesn't feel as clumsy.

It's early days yet and I haven't tested the GK's but so far so good. Just need to get me a decent optionfile now with all the kits and team names and we're sorted.

P.S. Can we add a hit/miss poll plz... o_O

in the BAL mode, are all of the leagues you can choose top divisions, or is there an option to start in a league beneath the top as you do in master league so that you can try and get promoted? Th eone great thing about FIFAs be a pro mode is that you can start in league 2 and then move up the leagues, it seems much more realistic that way. Obviously PES wont have a 4th division as it doesnt have as many teams, but hopefully you dont have to start in the equivilant of the EPL or La Liga

I would just suggest, if it's not an option on PES2009, doing what I do on PES2008, which is setting all the teams in a competition to Human, then if I don;t want to play as them, I can set one control on that side to "Manage".

Good to hear. I actually liked the demo so now I am even more excited after reading posts like this.

The game is excellent, it's extremely bizarre how much better it plays than the demo. I've been playing all day, in case someone thinks I'm just excited after the first 10 minute game -=)

The rain effects are _AWESOME_, really looks incredible..

Difficulty is excellent as well, used to OWN PES 2008, 5-0 up to 11-2 wins etc, But after 20 games I've won 10, lost 8 and drew 2...

Scores are very realistic as well.

couldnt agree more mate... the game has blown me away played 6 games so far... crazy .. best game period.

Has anyone tried Master League yet then? If so, are there any changes you can see?

I'm sure I read somewhere players get unhappy if they don't get games, forcing you to rotate, but that could have been a rumour/dream.

Cant Wait :)!

All this is very good news. I personally have enjoyed the demo and with all this FULL version news I can't wait either. I ordered it from the US so i might get it a bit later. We'll see :).

How are the chants in the game? Does U-ni-ted still sound like "Use your head"? If anyone could check if there are any chants for Fc Zenit I'd really appreciate that. Thanks :)

Nice review Dundon's. Does the ball stick to the grass like it does in the demo?

That's there but it's not as bad, I think the whole game in general is after tightening up, like I said all the saggy ass turning is gone completely leaving you with a quick crisp game. Also unlike the demo the quicker players like Messi and Robinho aren't just tearing the place up and they are now stoppable at least.

This one thing happened in a game and it left me literally speachless. The opponents Gk kicked out the ball and for the craic I said I'd try a volley pass out to the wing using the circle button about half power. Well if I did I only pinged the ball about 40 yards right onto the chest of the Theo who was bursting down the wing. It was beautiful.

I also got a chance to go through the edit mode, it could be pretty much the same as 2008 (I abandoned that) and I couldn't really say if it's any better or worst off, I can confirm the short socks are gone which is a bit of a sicker. However the way the boot selection is laid out is really nice and there's a nice selection at that.

Goalkeepers I still can't really comment on as I've only played a handful of games but I did score my 1st attempt at a free kick, edge of box, half power and pulling to the side, same old ding dong with them they are the same.

Commentary is as always meh so I just do what I always have done and switch the in game commentary to Spanish which is a major improvement and doesn't tend to sound repetitive or stupid because you haven't a clue what they're saying anyways. Saying that the call names make up for it, they're quality in Spanish.
