Angle 5-9 gives me feeling of playing a real match.. The normal camera system is pointless... there is no camere avaliable in real football goes horizontaly along all field...

And also at angle 9 you can see the pitch whole better.. you have a lot better and greater vision to take better decisions..

They have to add it to PES2009.. I think they took out cuz, in angle 9 there are more players running on the secreen which can be seen at a time, to prevent slowdown they took it completely.. In this version as German magazine claimed, there is no slowdowns, so angles can come back ( at leeast I hope so...)

No mate I am talking about "Semi-Fixed" not semi-auto try it and you will see, keep pushing left when choosing cursor settings

ok mate.. I'll try it this evening.. IT's shame for me if its right.. cuz I play the game for almost 10 years.. I got all versions without missing any..

I always use manual passing + no semi auto ( manual) .. I think FIXED unit is only for controlling one player ( can't be changed with L1 ingame, only changable in formation menu)

Dude, don't forget that the PS3 is also a "Blu-ray Disc" player.. Just something to consider before you go buying a 360.

But dont alos forget that the xbox 360 has better games...and that the last PES was much better on the xbox 360 then on the ps3

Using your master league teams online is a fantastic function that will be extremely useful. I'm glad they have made it a mode onto itself. It adds some spice creating a team that you can punish people with online.

I'm very interested in that.. However, some people have said to me that it isn't possible to use a Master League Team Online.. That is, that we cannot use created Teams, we cannot use Edited Kits, we cannot use Edited Players, etc, etc..

In other words, it's rather useless. I hope they make the Online Play less restrictive soon -because- how cool would it be to play with your own Team, your Team Kit, and your own Players Online. That would be seriously awesome.

No you got it wrong.. is semi mode, when u pass to a mate, the control is gotten by u automaticaly ( even in manual for older PES versions).. Manual & Semi differece comes out on defensive manner..

The thnig that u've talked about is controlling only "ONE player throughout all match.. u can't change the player on the pitch by pressing L1..

so it is a new and evolutionary feature for sure....

I still think of that "Revolutionary" (in this case re-introduced) Feature as "Cheating". Because if I can basically control 2 players at the same time -then- consequently I will have the power of turning any Average Striker into a World Class striker.

I don't like how that Feature sounds, it sounds like a New Flaw to the game, like a New way to Cheat. A player's off-the-ball movement should be determined by "Tactical Stats", reliable and precise Stats -not- some New Control Feature.

Never having played using semi-fixed before I had a few games last night, I can see how it could be interesting but IMO they should leave it has it is in 2008, however it would be very useful against the cutback type goal and you can obviously make some very good runs.

You never control more than 1 player, it is either the one with the ball, or one without, you rely on the CPU making the right pass.

last night I played and you were totally right.. semi-fixed is an option as u declared before.. IT is fun to play.. more strategy comes ... and most of the time AI plays well in a great teamwork with you.. But the ultimate problem comes in defence issues.. it is difficult to intercept the pass with players that u control.. and AI (co-op one) dont try to steal the ball as if the opponent AI tries to steal from you...

That's pretty much what I would like to see, although differently.. Instead of relying on the CPU to make the right pass -we- should rely on the CPU to make the right off-the-ball run.

We should take care of How and Where the Pass goes -and- the CPU should control the off the ball movement -and- the off the ball movement of each player should be determined by "Tactical Stats".

I think that should be the proper way to do it.. A World Class Poacher -or- in other words, a World Class Striker should make quality (off-the-ball) runs. While on the other hand, an Average Striker should be harder to find and harder to put on Goal.

And I think this is the proper way to do it -because- it doesn't completely ignores the Tactical Abilities of a Team (and Players) -and- it would also feel like you are playing with other players. Not like in actuality, where sometimes, CPU Players suddenly stop for no reason and leave you with no support.

I think CPU players should revolve around the player you are using -and- how well they spot gaps (open spaces) and execute Tactical runs should be determined by each player's Tactical Stats.

I'll do you all a favor and post the translation of the german mag by another fella found on another forum:
"just found that one on a german forum... it is a scan from the german magazine play3
my short summary:
- first of all no new screens
- the guys from the mag were specially invited by konami to test the version
- they played a very early version of the game but it run really smooth
- even at this early version all seemed very finshed (cleaned up)
- the players response improved (improved ball controll(handling), ability to pass really quick
- AI imrpoved alot more agressive and better position play ("they played at normal and found the AI "scary" in a good way )
- the AI improved alot in defensive play
- new manual pass control... "if your team is in control of the ball
the AI is in position of the player with the ball... but as soon as you
press L1 you can control the player with the ball" nice
- "the new pass system only sound complicated in the first way it is really easy to adapt"
- the controll setting manual is replaced by the new control system, automatic and half automatic is still there
- the player models look even better... the polygon figure has increased
- a few new animations the author mentioned ("players wave with there
hands to ask for the ball, you can see players stumble aside, players
slide longer on wet grass
- players reaction in rain changed alot... balls are hard to control,
shoots getting more harder to catch for the goalies, it is harder to
pass correctly
- a new mode which allows you to use your saved file online
- the author from the magazines is not allowed to tell more about the new mode
short summary of the author:
- in terms of gameplay he can sure tell PES 2009 beats Fifa 09
- technically PES 2009 feeled really well done not like the beta
version PES 2008 but he only got the changes to test the offline modus
sounds all good so far..."
