nowhere as laggy as i expected,

the only difficulty in it is finding a match and the awful layout, its complicated to understand what to click on to actually find a room, check the opponents rating etc,

But the actual gameplay, for both halfs, is pretty good, definitely playable, i have absoultely no idea what the other people on this forum are referring to.

I presume they say fifa is better because you can have 11 v 11, but as long as pes isnt laggy , then whats the problem ?

I have to disagree definetely.

When you compare it to PES6 online, then it's quite blatently obvious why people are disappointed with PES2009's online experience. That and the fact that PES2009 does actually lag online, not much, but still when it does lag it can be very significant and further annoying because only 1 party experiences the lag usually.

PES2009 is poor online, plain and simple. If Konami were able to produce a quality product online like PES6 was, then why can't they achieve this feat 2 years later with more technology and experience with online gaming consoles ?

i say that 85% of the games i host are playable, but only 40% of the games that somebody else is hosting

My guess is that distance between players affects the gameplay, when i play people from my country i almost get no lag / teleporting

It just makes you wonder though, because games like COD suffer no lag at all the majority of the time. These include players from the UK and USA a lot of the time, and a total of 12+ players, so how can Konami not have a lag-free online game between 2 players.
