When the game is released - We will have a complete PES. And like I said before - It will be amazing.

I can't wait, I honestly can not wait. October 23rd and November 10th have been the dates on my mind for the past few weeks. PES2010 and Modern Warfare 2. Just thinking about the games makes me wanna play them right now!
Why is time going so slow!!
If only I had a time machine. :D

Would be copying thou! I prefer just getting straight into the match! once you have played the arena afew times u just start skipping it and going straight to match mode!

I feel the Arena mode is 1 of the best features about FIFA09 due to the sheer quality in the player animations... I do agree with the critics about how all players feel the same and this is what FIFA lacks compared to PES... but PES has got so sloppy with its player animations and I feel this is an issue that desperately needs to be addressed.

I love the arena on FIFA09. I have to get a goal once the training ground turns into a stadium lol or I don't start until I get that goal lol

I'd like to start by saying that this is the best PES DEMO that I have ever played, right from way back when. Pes demo's have always had gameplay issues and have been just generally naff in my opinion. However, any issues that are present in the demo have nearly always been fixed by Konami, and I expect this year to be no different. The final release version of PES is always an improvement on the demo. I must admit I've had an unprecedented addiction with this years demo. I must have played around 30 games already, which I think speaks volumes for the potential quality of this years release. I've started to get that 'just one more game' feeling, which is something i've not really got when i've played the last few titles in the series. Anyway, here's a few of the 'good and bad' points i've noted when playing the X360 code:

+ The graphics are amazing (by no means the measure of a good game but it certainly helps things along)
+ The presentation is fantastic, especially the front end.
+ 360 control works a treat (I've finally been persuaded to start using the analogue stick as opposed to the D-pad.)
+ Individual players now seem to play more like their real-life counterparts. Messi and Ibrahimovic, for example, now seem to have very realistic playing capabilities.
+ General gameplay is a big improvement on 2008 and 2009
+ I like the crowd effects when the ball first hits the back of the net (i know some people aren't too impressed with the SFX)

- No power guage for short passes (unless you use the Right Stick which I really do not like). This is probably the only thing which Fifa does better. You really don't feel like you have full control of your passes, which is something that a true simulation should provide.
- Goalkeepers seem to constantly goof up.
- The balancing seems slightly off in my opinion. Regular difficulty appears to be very easy now.
- A.I. defending isn't great. I've scored a lot of very cheap goals.

Overall, a very promising demo from Konami. I have no doubt that the negative points above will be fixed to a large extent (apart from the power guage obviously) and that the bugs regarding response times and frame-rate issues when you score a goal will also be fixed in the full release build. Roll on the 23rd!

I'm thoroughly enjoying the demo, and I remember 09#s demo having very floaty ball physics and being at around the same speed. The 09 game was much better than the demo, hopefully we can say the same for 2010

Sorry, ive really tried to get into this demo but theres just too much wrong with it.

- Its so easy to score long range goals.
- The a.i is really poor, both in attack and defence
- The goalkeeping is REALLY poor. I cant say that enough, dreadful. Its like the shots are too powerful for a keepers response.
- Barcelona have no threat level.

The only going for it is the great graphics. Everything else is really poor and not worthy. I can only assume that most of you that like it have been starved of decent footy (by not liking Fifa) for so long you'll take ANY improvement on last years which it is kind of.

Its just not a Pes game worthy of being on a next gen console and that really saddens me.

Goaliez are the uber fail of the game. The dives don't look like real at all somethimes. They barely come out.
I really hate the goalies.
Graphics ARe really good, I like them allot.
Game plays a bit slow for me ?

I played 4 games tonight with my nephew and i must say it's great, the keeper held on to the majority of shots, there were only 2 times where the keeper parried the ball, and only one of those resulted in a goal being scored.

I found the response times to be not that bad really. I then played a couple of games against the ai, this seems strange but playing on pro level seemed more difficult than playing on top level, anyone else find this ?. I am finding it very difficult to score also, i think this is down to my players being closed down so quickly by the ai, this is a real positive also for the game. Overall the more i play the more i am enjoying it.

Very Dissappointed

Let me start by saying this:
1. I know this is a demo and so it should really be judged fairly since it is not the complete game.
2. I have played the FIFA demo and I was not too impressed with that either.

So i downloaded the PS3 version of the demo and to be honest i was quite impressed with the presentation. The menus, the music, it all looked quite pretty. Then I started playing a match and things went downhill.

First of all...all summer there have been countless posts in the forum to fix the goalkeepers. What Konami has done is they have improved the way the keepers punch the ball. So rather than punching it into the path of on-cooming strikers, the GK's punch the ball away. However i was able to score a few goals by beating goalkeepers at the near post because GK's still have this STUPID habit of DIVING ON THE SPOT (They dont dive at the ball, but they will sort of jump up and fall in the same spot) letting the ball fly past them.

OK, then I looked at passing...the ball moves very very fast when being passed from player to player. It did not feel realistic because i was able to complete passing moves that i should have a lot more difficulty completing. One of the things this does is it can quickly change the game from the SIMULATION feel to the ARCADE feel.

to cut my feedback short

Graphics: 9/10
Gameplay: 5/10
KONAMI's work: 2/10 Unimpressive and predictable...and in no way is this game going back towards its SIM routes.

My final thoughts on the demo after getting absolutely frustrated by the demo (my frustration wasn't for lack of victories...):

- Awful GKs
- Horrible reaction time... it's funny when 3 PC players can react faster than the guy you're controlling... and he has 90+ reaction...

I read somewhere the game has 360 movement, dribbling and passing....

- If you have 360 movement, why does the PC players always go North/South on their runs?
- If you have 360 movement why doesn't the player always move where you control him to?
- If you have 360 dribbling why can't you dribble past opponents in not N/S directions?
- If you have 360 passing why can't you pass to where you want to?

To me this game is starting to look like and unfinished pile of wasted disk space....

My final opinion on the demo: 2/10

- I think the goal kicks are quite good. I had 1 that almost went into the other box. The reaction times arent that bad for me anymore and i dont like the 360 movement either. Imo it does exist but its just really crap and sometimes stops me sprinting.

GK is actually goal keepers... not goal kicks...

I think they're quality like 80% of the time. They constantly pull of amazing saves and sometimes ive smashed it from 8 yards out and they've tipped it over the bar and i was like "How the fuk!?

They do make twaty saves sometimes where the ball is coming straight at them and they use their T-Rex arms to parry it and then tap in.
