The people who are praising pes to high heaven are the people who have tried the WE demo and have seen it and thought "pes is back". It has a ps2 gameplay esc feel to it now which is all i wanted.

I hear ya, but have you actually played FIFA? I'm not sure they are as similar as you make out

Yeah I have played Fifa, what I mean about the similarities between the 2 is the movement of the players around the pitch, its as if they are on an ice rink. This is somehting that has been endemic of Fifa games right from the early 90's when the game first game out.

Now Pro has the same issues with player movement and that ruins everyhting, irrespective of how good it looks, commentary etc...

My slightly ott comment was aimed at their previous versions. I'll be testing this one tonight.

Actually, i completely agree, man. I've been saying that for years.

They're using basic marketing schemes, and that's just sad coming from a culture that's supposed to be perfectionist.

I'd expect it from the yanks, but not from them.

Fair enough man, sorry for coming across wound up.

I just would like my Pes back with the trimmings you'd expect for next gen :)

Played the demo last night a couple times and honestly i quite enjoyed it. Tbf i now know where people are coming from.

Firstly, this just the demo in other words it's lil' taster before the full game, so won't be judging no shit.

Secondly the errors we seen on the demo can be fixed/improved before he final release, i know a game can't be released with that kind of error.

And finally, all these lil' tweaks like a team mate making an run that looks quite decent, i say bring on the full game.

You are someone that understands what Pro is all about, if the WE demo really has gameplay similar to what PS2 then why is this not reflected in the Pro Evo that we see in Europe.

Played around 20 games up to now on PS3 PES2010 DEMO, and i have to say the response time is woeful!!!!!!! Takes too long from pressing the button to the action actually being performed. It affects shooting, passing and...well everything.

This needs to be sorted for the final game because if it isnt there will be alot of people jumping ship to FIFA.

It feels alot like PES 2009 yet worse! Even the AI needs sorting! Crowd noises are annoying.

Its not all bad news, graphics are quite good, kits have nice textures.

What are you doing to our beloved game KONAMI!!!!!???????????????

I understand we all have different tastes but does anyone bother to play the Fifa demo PROPERLY at all? Is it too hard for you? Are the graphics not good enough for you? Cameras?

Obviously that you're 1 of a typical FIFA fan boy? No?

Seriously, how old are you? You and some others Fifa fanboys here only know how to bash PES like there's no tomorrow, imo Konami did a pretty good job on the latest PES installment, they did improve something, it just either you have AN EXTREMELY HIGH expectation on what Konami will deliver on PES every year <== (this kind of person are sure hard to please lol) or you just a typical FIFA fanboy.

I must tell you that I enjoy playing FIFA09, not for long though, it certainly get bored easily than PES09, and I also get to try the new FIFA 10 demo on my X360, to tell you the truth, the gameplay is similar to what FIFA09 brought last year.

So, stop bullsh1t1ng and pumping some false ideas to the readers here, although none of us will believe on what you've said lol, or you just those type of person who like to make everyone your enemy? ~peace ;)

Stop that little shitty battle FIFA/PES, come on...this page is PESgaming.

By the way, for all the FIFAFANBoys... take the game, put in yours consoles and stay quiet. Do goals with every player in the top corner, play that sweet simply non thinking football thats in the fifa gameplay... pass pass pass, run run, pass, throws one on one goal in the same way every time... no emotion, no enjoyment, no satisfaction, no screamers...

And let us be with our PES thats its other view, a mature and realistic one of the beautiful game.

One thing I've noticed that is a definite improvement from the last 2 PES games is the willingness of players to overlap and become available for a pass. It was almost non-existent in PES 2008/2009.

Wow you are asking me to grow up and then accusing me of being a fifa fanboy and pumping false ideas into people?

You didnt read my posts properly did you really?

Oh and thanks for letting me know that in fact its not Konami's fault, but mine for wanting a game better than its last successful outing back on the Ps2. (BTW that is the Ps2) My mistake. :)

Ermm, but didnt IGN SPONSOR PES?

I think it was PES2008????

.....................

Another member here also said IGN gave PES 2008 a 9.2 on PS3?

That doesnt seem like they are in fifa's pockets to me.

LOL.
Dude, advertising $$$ now determines review scores. As I assume some of you are aware, Gamespot's editor was fired a few years back for giving Kane & Lynch a poor review when Eidos had spent a lot of money advertising the game on Gamespot.

IGN is owned by News Corporation and Gamespot is owned by CBS; I find it hard to imagine that either site can be impartial anymore with so many other corporations now affiliated with them. I don't use either anymore except to download demos, look at screenshots, etc.

Anyway, FIFA 10 really seems like a step back from the last two games. The gameplay is the worst it's been in the Rutter era IMO. As I said, it feels like playing ice hockey.

Another thing I love about PES as opposed to FIFA: In PES, there is a real difference between the good teams and the crappy teams. Even between playing as, say, Genoa and playing as Inter, there's a huge difference. It's actually difficult to beat an elite European team with a team like Torino or Basel, and I like that about it. In FIFA, every single team feels the same.

Please guys. Create an other thread (fifa vs. pes) (not that i think it belongs on a pro evo website)
Let's stick to the topic of the threads. In this one - PES demo feedback.
Thanks in advance

Not true at all, look at Pes 2008 for starters . Since then I've been slightly paranoid around release time :ninja:.

Hello all, I'm new to this site, and as the name implies, yes I am a Yank (can't be the only one here, can I?) but please don't hold that against me.

I just wanted to quickly throw in my woefully unqualified opinion of the PES 2010 demo. You see, my knowledge of football is quite limited. I have very few opportunities to watch matches, and I have yet to purchase either a PES or FIFA game. That being said, I know on a gut level what I like, and I know when I'm having fun. And that being said, after playing both the PES 2010 demo and the FIFA demo for several hours apiece, I must say that I've been having a lot more fun with PES.

As I've said, I'm no expert on the game of football, so I've only managed to score a few goals in each of the demos. But of the goals that I've managed in the PES demo, every single one made me leap into the air and dance around my apartment like an idiot. Sadly, I can't say the same for FIFA.

I don't want to turn this into another FIFA bashing post, and there is quite a bit about EA's demo that I do like. But when it comes to creating an exciting match, in which it feels like anything can happen at any time, I feel that PES has the edge.

Anyway, this being my first post, I don't want to ramble on for too long. I'll just say that after spending some time with the demo, I'm really looking forward to the final product.
