EVER

Like my friend with english bosses say; the english always expect the best, but evrything goes wrong always, and they have no idea why
he was referring to business, but man, does it apply to football too.... its called conceitedness...

Look, no one says that England plays the finest football and certainly no one would argue, that Brazil has quite some unique talent and produces great players left and right.

Still, he was referring to the history of football and England is the "land of Football" or the "Motherland of Football" as the game was created there and spread all over the world.
Lots of Brazilian, South American and European clubs were founded by Englishmen who wanted to play their game after settling in those countries.

And that's coming from a blody German...

I'd say UK rather than England. Some sources record the first game actually being in Aberdeen, Scotland...

...then again, you could also point at China. They had a game that resembled football (or soccer) several thousand years ago...

...maybe we should just say that the modern, civilized :)erm:) version of Footy was of English origin, but certainly wouldn't go as far to say we invented it.

Damn, I must be bored :folarm:

Are you from the UK?

If so, why would you order it in the States and not in Europe(Germany, France etc.), where it will be out only two days later, with shipping certainly being way faster?

You should also keep in mind that a lot of OF's are done for UK or the EU versions and earlier available then the US ones.

^I also have heard rumors that playing the BLUS version in the U.K. (or vice-versa) causes online problems, don't know if true but skimmed that info months ago from this site.

I should explain what I meant. I bought the English version for online because you get more of a variety of different sides to play online. Playing against Ligue 1 sides, Turkish clubs etc. Which is what I prefer. Buying the American version would probably be nothing but Madrid and Barcelona glory hunters over and over again maybe an Inter player if I got lucky. I'm just speaking from a variety standpoint.

What do you mean?

The last time we had a PC version of PES was back in 2005(Winning Eleven 2007 or something like that) Konami always advertises the PC version as well as the console versions for NA. But sadly PC version never comes out in North America for some odd reason. Maybe they are trying a global PES for the PC version I don't know.

They are saying the same thing this year. We will see what happens.

Can't you buy it off steam? I've played American's and Canadians online.
Here's most of the release dates for PES 2012.

UK: October 14
France: September 29
Germany: September 29
Italy: September 29
Spain: September 29
Greece: September 30
The Americas: September 27

As you can see, the UK fans are alone and angry.

pes doesn't sell's as well in the UK compared to Spain, France and other European countries.Fifa's king in the UK by far.

right... well fair enough, I hardly played online, but usually if you pick a shittier team, they'd usually match... like using either boca or river...

who really cares about history really? Now everybody play football
Americas,Europe,Middleastern,Asia,... everybody play football.

and btw both england and brazil are horrible now days, especially brazil.

its about time the americas get the game early, i mean we always get the game late november in the past 10 years. how awful is that compared to ur oct 14 ???

What we do is we buy the UK version and play it online that way. But the lag is sometimes unbearable and it's really not fun to play that way.

If we have a NA PC version then we will only find NA players and the connections should be fine then.
Of course not everybody has great connections but it should still be much better than playing against a person from Europe.

So has anyone found out yet why the release dates are so varied?

Here in Holland we've got the UK release date which sucks balls of course. I mean it should just be a global or at least regional release date, I can't think of a reason why it should vary between European countries by 2 weeks.

And I'm not going to get the game from anywhere other than Holland or UK websites as I wouldn't be surprised to discover a lack of in-game English text/commentary if I bought from say France or Germany.

2 weeks... whilst its hardly the biggest problem in the world it just feels a F U to the fans from the UK and other countries such as Holland. And I wouldn't count on them resetting online stats and modes to give everyone a fair starting point.

* better prepare myself to play against teams with Ronaldo, Messi, Zlatan etc on day 1 of MLO *

What the hell. What is the reason for this? Why the hell is it being released in Greece and Italy first? Have you SEEN the state of their economy??

They need to compete with Fifa. And as for the economy, A Greek always finds money for Smokes, Coffee and Pro
