You've got a good memory. I did indeed, typically I play my best passer behind the my central defenders for long raking passes.
I gave Superstar a try after both Professional and Top Player would always be competitive for me. Was pleasantly surprised that it played well. I lost 2 games (no cheating in either) and had 1 draw. However I dropped it down to top player and was punching the walls due to the AI cheating. was up 2-0 and then in min '87 and '90 they tied it. Now I know I can't play top player. For me its either superstar (I need to try to get ahead in score more to see if the cheating is as bad as top player or just play professional)
Please Konami, fix the damn cheating script. The games can be quite enjoyable without it. This is one of the reasons I had to switch from PES12 to Fifa12. Hoping to see improvement in Demo #2

Too much rubberbanding in Superstar tbh. Top Player is preferably better for me but still has Scripting issues.

I´m now playing without passing assists but it really feels like the power bar for passing is random. Sometimes I charge half or the bar for a normal pass with a good passing player like Pirlo but he will just give the ball a little touch.. happens a lot to me. And no I wasn't under pressure.

It will be, its dependant on the passing ability of the player.
Then why should the power of the pass change. A players passing and touch ability will alter the accuracy in the pass because anyone can power a pass first time if they are professional pass. What should vary is the accuracy for poorer players, not speed

Think about it. Not every professional footballer passes at the same speed. The better passer you are the more accurate you can pass at speed. Also passing speed has always been a feature on PES, Gerrard used to 97 for passing Speed I think on one version.
All in all, this is a pretty pointless debate.
I'm pretty sure he meant when a player recieves a pass and presses pass full power resullting in the ball trickling a few inches from him. Thats more of a bug, not something Konami put in to make the gameplay more advanced

no exact date but my guess is ~ 3 weeks before release date that would mean early september

[DEMO 1] I've played a few single player matches and two player vs player matches, and so far I have to say that I'm impressed. I noticed a bug where the keeper ran with the ball in his hands outside the area and "spawned" back, but nothing major. I like the pace of the game, playing at 0, and I also like the extra "oomph" the passing and shooting has gotten this year. I also like the way every match seems very different from the previous, unlike most PES's and FIFA's in the past where every match were more or less the exact same regardless of teams involved.
I'm sure there are some flaws I've overlooked, but overall I have to say that I am impressed.
EDIT: I've been using default formations in every match, and for once they seem to work fairly well with the exception of Fluminese's. I had to change during the break to get some more players forward to create chances.

I've played a few more matches on this demo, haven't seen any Demo2 links for PC yet.
I would have to say that shot power should be toned a tad down, and shot accuracy could easily be toned down on long shots as well.
There is a passing bug, where you power up before you actually have the ball and once you try to pass it on first touch it just barely bounce off your feet. This happens consistently with Pirlo as well as the Average Joe, so I doubt it's intentionally. (The same bug was present on PES2012 btw)
