PES 2013 Demo 2: Feedback, Impressions, Discussions etc.

PES' gameplay on PS2/Xbox was superb. I don't think I'll enjoy a game more than I did PES5.

The licences aren't really an issue amongst most people anymore. I used to spend hours upon hours updating the older PES games because the gameplay made the effort worthwhile.

I used to hate FIFA, and like you thought people only played it because of licences etc but the gameplay really is quality.

All the different game modes is a plus, too. I don't doubt PES has them, too, but Ultimate Team is so enjoyable for me. Pro Clubs I've also got into in the last few months.

Perhaps if Konami dropped the gay arcade music it might make playing their games a little less painful :lol:

The gameplay is tolerable but for me the game lacks depth and feels empty.

I can understand why many have moved to fifa, because some of the pes's have been atrocious since moving to the next gen.

I think pes11 was a hit for me, with the introduction of mlo it just opened up a whole new dimension and the replay value was great. 2010 was too easy but it was playable. 2008 and 12, were huge disappointments, I didn't think 2009 was that bad. With 2013 I think they're finally getting things to together in terms of fluidity without making it too arcade like they did with 2012.

But yeah whoever selects the soundtracks for the games needs to be fired or just mutilated as some of the songs on the latest demo is whacked out african boubou tribesmen music and the other end is esctasy pill popping shit. Thankfully there is the option to upload your own tracks, otherwise you would have to turn the menu music off.

I love the Second demo in every way. The ball physics are totally different from last year. I also love the new animations, you can control better the ball with R2, I love the new training sessions so you can master some moves and skills, Excellent that the game has been a little bit speed up, I felt the first demo a little slow on game speed, I do think the superstar level is a little less difficult from last year, but I do think it will eventually be as same as difficult as last year which I love been challenging. cheers

Sounds good Zardo, I've not tried it yet but after Demo1 I am fairly positive. Much better than what I expected to be honest.

played only two matches with the new demo. In the long run, I could probably agree with much of the negative criticism across the 13 previous pages. However, those two games felt great.

Shooting seems to be a little too fast. I don't mean the flight speed of the ball but rather how quickly your player winds up to kick.

I was generally impressed with just the overall feel, maybe again because how much better it is than 2012, more than it being perfect.

Played the PC Demo after playing the Demo2 on PS3. Must say that the PC version feels like a much better game. Dunno why... Maybe I'm just weird - But play seems to flow more.

I cannot wait to get the game and I really hope they incorporate some kind of purchase system for BAL - Like buying training too boost stats or something.

Like you, I played PES on the PS2 for ages ..one of the best players in the US. I also hate Fifa..but my disgust for PES on next gen chased me away to Fifa. I have not looked back.

For many, PES 2013 is the holy grail because it finally has a few basic moves right. Not that the game is any good ....just much better than any other release since next gen. PES 2013 is a basic arcade game. Pass Run Shoot.

Now Fifa attracts millions for one reason.....it is the holy grail. The game is next to perfect. One word to describe Fifa .."Freedom".

I am really hoping that PES can at least grab a few tricks from Fifa ...like for starters change the engine of the game. Do you know that Konami still uses the game engine from the PS2 to run Pes 2013?

This restricts the advancement of the game. Instead of 360 movements we have a 16 directional movement. Instead of real to life collisions ..we have arcade style street fighter hits. Lack of burst of speed, they run at the same pace. Ping Pong passing and overpowered shooting.

Now a few folks here love that, you can't convince them that the game has lost its directions. Konami has failed us over and over and over again. They really dont care that much anymore...but EA does.

Fifa has single-handle taken over football...they have innovative ideas that has improved the game drastically.

In the PES 2013 game none of the players cannot even juggle the football .....can anyone believe that?:shocking:

Please take a look at the gameplay from Fifa 13 at gamescon this year.

Its a wrap again for Konami and their arcade style game ...real simulation is about to drop a bomb on their ass again this year.

Had a little stint as Juve today, and boy, it was fun. Scored some amazing goals with Pirlo including a blistering 40 yarder from a corner clearance.

Am also getting to grips with the skill stick too and now I know that certain moves don't require RT to do, things have been flowing better.

Know, If only I could figure this heading at goal lark.

Having Played Demo 2 Everyday since it came out. i decided earlier to put FIFA 12 on and to be honest its like comparing PES 5 to fifa 06. that is how much better PES 13 is than FIFA 12. all these FIFa players know this aswell that is why so many of them are making youtube videos of the PES 13 demo rating it 5/10 then setting it to comments require approval only. then only accepting Hate comments on their video from other Fifa Fans.

PES has now taken over to the point it makes Fifa look like an average game.

If you're so happy with fifa, why do you need to keep repeating the point on how great it is and coming in this section to tell others? It sounds like you're trying to convince yourself that you made the right decision because you failed to master how to play pes.

What do you want, swarms of pes gamers to follow in your footsteps?
They'd firstly have destroy some of their own brain cells through excessive alcohol, then fill themselves up with pro-hormones so they turn half man half bitch to complain about everything in the game - Lastly they'd have to gouge out of their eyes, so they don't see what kind of rubbish they're typing when they post.

anyone tried to score like Falcao's second goal yesterday !?
It's possible in PES 2012 with players who have LONG RANGE DRIVE Skill Card
but in PES 2013 it's possible with every player .. but the players who have shot acc. and shot tech. they can fit it in the net .. make the player's face straight to the goalkeeper or the goal then press R2 .. after that aim to left or right if the player have Left foot better u can shoot to the left post like Falcao's goal .. if player's Right foot stand in the opposite angle and shoot to the right post .. and I think it's Controlled shot in PES 2013 .. and make sure the Manual shooting is OFF .. coz I tried it and the Manual shooting was OFF

and you basing this on a new version of PES to an old version of Fifa. PES 2012 and 11 sucked ass and didn't represent anything.

Fifa also takes other things from todays game and tries to implement it, Like Strength and physical presence......The Animations are also more like what you actual see in real life.

How about passes which do more that just go straight, In fifa the passes vary more, even if only in appearance.
