Just tried beta. Bit shit to be honest. Appreciate the slower pace, more time to build attacks compared to the ping pong hot potato current game. What I don't appreciate are slow, unreactive players to match it though. Laboured animations and input lag remain. Hopefully it was an online issue not a game issue.

I see some more features copied from FIFA such as the set pieces and scoreboards. They also need to import the Shield and Driven Pass features because those dribbling, bobbly little ground passes are farcical

Argentinean league is fully licensed along with the national team. The tour is going to Chile next so they will announce that league is licensed next.

But they already did that with PES 2014.
I was expecting all Leagues from Southamerica licensed since EA doesn't care about them.

It won't be a huge deal to most, but they announced a partnership with Fulham this past Friday. Fulham is probably my favorite English team and really the first team overseas that got my support because various American players being on the squad. So I'm pretty excited about it.

But I agree they need to hit us with some pretty big licensing news the next week or two. I'd love to at least see Liga MX get added, although my hope every year is for MLS to be included.

I don't know why Konami make a big song and dance about the South American leagues being licensed - they have been for ages. And even then they don't actually ever update the teams anyway. I think they should really concentrate on those areas with full face scans etc for most of the players in Brazil, Argentina and Chile. Get the Libertadores etc back as well. That could be their unique selling point. They can only do so much in Europe because of FIFA.

I was about to post the same thing. They are always in the game. Big deal. Next they will announce Brazil. I doubt Copa Libertadores will be back.

Valencia is a partner now. The game will have slightly improved game play & the same teams are last year. They obviously are not adding any new leagues.

Yeah, let's hope Valencia has been added, rather than replaced, Atletico Madrid. I am confident that this year will be better than last year, but unless excitement really gets the better of me next month then it's not a day-one purchase for me this year. I may even wait (try to anyway) until the Xmas sale.

It's been said Atletico Madrid got even more attention this year, including the inclusion of their new stadium that hasn't even officially opened yet. So that's a bit of good news. I'm with you though, hopefully all the new teams are added on and not replacements. Fulham is cool to me, and Valencia is a pretty good get too.

Yeah man, the more the merrier for me. The only thing that annoys me is Konami rehashing licenses like Chile etc, when they've been in the game for ages anyway. Maybe if they face scanned all the squads and gave those leagues a real level of realism, like the big European teams then I could get excited by it, otherwise it's just a load of generic looking players in fake stadiums etc. Does nothing to get me excited at all. They always big-up the fact that they have the Brazilian league but there is only a handful of players with real faces in there as well. The South American leagues don't overly interest me, but if they pulled out all the stops then I could be tempted.

Yea I know what you mean.

I loved how this year they announced Pre-Season Tournaments in Master League. Then announce they have the license for International Champions Cup (ICC) which is a Pre-Season Tournament............only to let us know it's only for myClub...fucking myClub...One step forward and three steps back. LOL, kinda like having the license for Champions Leagues but not all the team that compete in it.

I am also guessing EDITING will be the same this year with no improvent on adding fake leagues, adjusting league #'s instead of the 20 max, and etc......even though always a big request.

I have to laugh sometimes. I see year after year the same request over and over again for the same things on just about every PES forum...........yet Adam "Bullshit" Bhatti claims those request are in the minority............guess he has been smoking to much shisha pipe.........Anytime you mention a negative about game play or mention about a repeated request not being adding, the jokster goes off on you............Praise the game and he thinks he's God's right hand man.

That Champions League license basically sums it up doesn't it. How can they license the competition but not put all the teams in it??

The trouble is, Konami make such a big hoo-hah about each license they get, but then don't do anything about it. By the loud noises they make they clearly think having the Brazil, Argentina and Chile leagues are their USP - yet they make no real effort to make them as such. They should be throwing their arms up and saying "look, we know we can't get Bayern and Juve and Real etc, but we CAN get this" and then really go to town on it. Sure, those leagues don't massively interest me but if they had all the accurate players, looking right, with the right stadiums etc I would definitely buy into it I think.

As it is, they don't even update the squads after release for those leagues. Most of the players are generic, only about four or five have their proper stadiums. What exactly is selling itself?? Not much.

Big reveal tonight.....brazilian league is in pes 2018.

Haha, that would about sum it up wouldn't it! They've accounced a new partnership with Vasco de Gama but, again, they've used the likeness of Luis Fabiano just because he is the only non-generic player for that team. I mean, why bother announcing a partnership in that case? They had the licensed kit in last season anyway, so what exactly makes this a 'partnership' any more than it was last season?? Pointless unless they actually make the effort.

Does anyone know something new about the Be A Legend mode ?
I hope they could add some changes, the mode can be a lot more interesting because of the slower gameplay and better dribble control.

I saw on this page - https://www.konami.com/wepes/2018/eu/en/topic/licence_latam

From Chile, for the first time in a console game, there will be 16 playable teams from the First Division of the National League

Thought PES 17 already had the 16 Chilean Teams. Then wasn't PES 15 that had it as well.

Am I missing something or are they pulling a FIFA and passing something off as NEW that isn't really new?
