PES 6 terrible stuttering problems,unplayable

Got PES 6 delivered first thing this morning,but it's unplayable due to terrible stuttering problems.

Apparently heard on another forum that this is a problem with ATI cards,i have a X1900XT 512mb card. Seen a few other guys with ATI cards having the same problems as me.

Will there be a fix anywhere along the line for this,so disappointed,never had any issue's with PES 5 & the same hardware

Any idea's/Suggestions would be welcome

You might want to try setting the video graphic part to lowest quality possible.

I havent receive my copy yet.. Just suggesting.

Tried all different settings,gets worse if i lower the detail & res Been told by the retailer/customer support that i purchased from that, it's a known problem with ATI cards,so sending it back for a refund after a bit of talking on the phone

Have tried different drivers,the lot.reinstalled it,on different drives,but no luck. Really disappointent:realmad: Was looking forward to this so much as well

All my other games run perfectly well,so my hardware is ruled out

God damn, then it won't work with my Sapphire X800 Pro card either.. Hope that Konami will do something about it ASAP.

Why am I not surprised that something like this happens? I mean, how can someone miss that an entire GPU companys products aren't working properly?

Anyways, I guess there isn't much to do, I guess you coudl try and fiddle with GPU driver settings such as Vsync, or any of the multitude of settings usually available in the drivers (or some tweak programs like ATItool etc).

I've tried everything,setting program priority/core affinity,lots of different driver settings,lots of different drivers as far back as 6.3 cats

I've been at it for most of the day,was hoping to get it up & running for a session with the lads on friday night,but looks like thats on hold,unless someone comes up with a fix.

All the people i've spoken to on other forums with ATI cards are having the very same stuttering problems as me,seems Nvidia cards are ok though

It's amazing how Konami can surprise us every year.. In a bad way. I mean c'mon, didn't they test the game with ATi GPU's at all? Tsk tsk Konami.

BTW, I use these drivers instead of ATi's official ones. Works better for me in other games, but dunno about PES 6.. Probably won't help, but at least you can give it a try

Good news,well sort of

Managed to have a full game just now,stuttering badly for the first 20-30 seconds,then it was'nt doing it as much. I set program priority to high & the longer the game seemed to go on it was doing it less.Don't know if i could put up with it all the time though.

Anyone else on this forum tried it with an ATI card yet ? Feedback would be appreciated

Looks like Konami will be getting angry e-mails from all the ATI users

Bit of an update folks

After playing a full match,the stuttering seems to be very random.

Match 1 -stutters very badly during match one for the first minute or so,then ramdonly for the rest of the game ,really annoying:realmad:

Match 2 -slight stutters now & then,but more playable than match 1:crymore:

Match 3 -stuttering has nearly disappeared completely:w00t

So it looks like the longer you play it,the problem seems to almost disappear

At least i'm gettiing somewhere now,still think it will need a patch to fix it for ATI users though

yeh this stuttering has been a problem with FIFA 07 aswell on ATI cards

I've tried fifa 07 on my pc & had no problems with it,apart from it bieng rubbish of course Quickly told my mate he could have it back

I am using an ATI Radeon x1600 and I get the 20 seconds of stuttering at the beginning of every game. And then a couple of one of stutters through the rest of the game.

So yeah, I am sure a patch will come out soon, official or otherwise....took me all night to get it working and now it has a problem with my graphics card. *Sigh*

I have a nvidia 7800gs and I'm having the same problem with stuttering. After playing the game for a while it does away for the most part, but then when you start again it goes back to square one. Dunno what's going on, but every other game on the comp seems to work fine, even the ones with higher system demands.

edit: I just noticed that the game works a lot better with the priority in task manager set as High rather than Normal. Even at kickoff the game stopped stuttering for me.

I had the stuttering problem then installed the latest catalyst control center which I downloaded from the Radeon website. I know it's the obvious thing but it seems to have fixed the problem for me.

Not sure whether the new driver is what helped or if installing the control panel reset something and that's what did it, but PES6 seems to run fine now with no stuttering. I've got a Radeon 9500.

what a joke i recieved my copy yesterday from Gameplay.com for £17.99 and got home buzzin installed it, went ono match chose man utd v chelsea and bang i couldn't even play the game was stutting like mad, so i restarted the game and tried again, yet the same thing happend. So i reinstalled the game and the same thing happend. WTF

i would like to know, is anyone playin the game while they r running Xfire, reason im askin is that i had a problem with xfire and PES5, the problem was when i installed an update for xfire some months back when the update finished and i tried loadin the game up, it would happen, the screen freezed for a few secs and then went back to the desktop as if i never tried startin up PES5, so im wonderin if anyone who is havin a stutting problem, is running Xfire while they r playin PES6(sry tryin to play PES6)

Won't really matter if you have xfire or not mate,the problem is with ATI cards So won't matter if you are even using a single X1900XT like me.

Keep playing ,the stuttering more or less disappears after a couple of games,just play a short 5min game to start,the fire up the master league

Apparently Konami are aware of the problem now,so hopefully they will get there fingers out & get a patch out quickly

How this game went gold,i'll never know. Hope someone at Konami gets there arse kicked
