to a small extent i would have to agree with that but up close the fifa player models are a very poor in certain ways. i would have to say from a distance the game looks impressive and the ball physics are good.

the current gen are even more hilarious. giggs is bald and looks as if he has anorexia. i remember the funniest thing that FIFA did was give a generic face to Kromkamp, yet the generic face looked exacly like him.

Well I am currently in college and my friend's roommate has a 360 and just purchased Fifa 08 about 3 days ago. Since he knew I loved football he invited me over to play with him and as of now we have played about 20 matches with all different type of teams. Anyhow, I noticed that the player likeness in Fifa 08 is extremely horrible. I am not a trying to be a Fifa basher but that is just simply the truth. I honestly expected more from EA and apart from how horrible the players look, the player's physique look awkward. The pictures that are on the first post of this thread are exactly how the players look on the game - NO LIE. Some things I did like on Fifa 08 where of course the massive amount of liscensed teams, the presentation (i.e. the menus etc), the way goalkeepers throw themselves is very realistic, and the stadiums available. Fifa 08 is a decent game, but I would take PES 2007 or PES 2008 over Fifa any day.

looks nothing like him in the pro one and the hair isn't even close.
So he's a tad shiny on the fifa shot, you can still clearly make out who he is!

PS3 = Mixed bag. On the whole i think PES has the physical's better. FIFA still suffers from square thigh muscles!!!
Zoomed out, FIFA looks pretty damn good, but in close up replays it looks shoddy.
Will be interesting to see the full version of PES in action for an extended period to make a better judgement though...

And those are the best faces of Fifa 08, you should see the face of Danny Valdez from Barca, he looks like anyone but Danny Valdez from Barca. ROFL. Fifa 08 has gotten progressively worse in the graphics and facial department. I think PES08 is alot better and I dont see why so many people say the pes2008 graphics arent that great, I think its the best you can get for a soccer game. Look at the facial animation for christ sakes, its almost spot on. What else do you want?? Over Gelled faces whit shiny as$ light textures like Fifa 08? Pes08 is king.

i've still got FIFA 08 installed, i still play on it. It's not as good as Pro Evo but it's ok.
but to say that's good graphics in that picture is just stupid, he's covered in vaseline or something.

Has anyone else noticed that when you sub a player late in the game, the sub comes on already sweating?!?!!?

The fifa appearances have always been blocky and generally rotten
I've always found mysef loading up the game and getting excited watching the intro's beautiful tricks goals and life-like players, when it time for a match there such a contrast
