Just wonder whether the game is similar to PES4. In WE9, I was kind of disappointed with the fact that when the CPU is losing they do not attack that much like they do in PES4. In PES4, CPU are pretty mean in their attack and will go all out to get the equalizer. PES4 is so damn good that I am still playing it despite having the Japanese Version of WE9. I am not saying that WE9 is inferior to PES4, it is just that I can't stop playing the latter because of the attack factor. I hope PES5 will be like PES4 where CPU will turn on the heat when they are down.

Yes the refs in WE9 are very whistle happy, do not appreciate any physical contact and favour the CPU. But they are slightly better in PES5.

(Use the WE9 impressions thread for WE9 impressions ;) )

Free kicks are too easy..... i say no more

100% with zidane at the moment

long rangers are the most advantageous ( watch how the keeper comes out everytime)

u just have 2 hit one hard with curl and it goes straight over him everytime

its pretty much ruined the game for me

(u mite not wana try it coz i fink ul fink the same)

Does anyone else not like that the R2 shuffle side step from previous PES is now just done using the D-Pad.

i find it very annoyin that when playing certain mates who never used much skill pull this off now without making any effort.

The one thing i dont like so far! :)

I think it adds to the gameplay getting you out of some tricky situations but also can be quite frustraiting when you don't want to do it.

ive only got the demo and im hardly going to use woodgate or owen when i got beckham or zidane am i :)

Seemed very slow at first but the more I play it and the better players I buy for my master league team, the quicker it gets.

i never got them on target every time in PES4.

And i do not see why i should take them with other players just cos its easier on PES5. Do one!

1 player games are very very frustrating, I don't mind the fact that referees are a little more whistle happy cos it forces you to jockey players and pick ya moment rather than dive in with R1 + X. The MOST annoying thing is easily the fact the referees are not consistant between myself and the computer, it's so annoying to get barged miles and when you do it to comp the ref blows up. He sometimes blows up when you are running shoulder to shoulder (not pressing x or anything) with an opponent for a loose ball.

2 Player games are fine but 1 player games get me vexed, and i've only tried 3 stars...I think 5 stars would send me over the edge.

But to be fair if people always complain about real refs how can we expect a computer to get it right when there are so many things to consider :(

Sorry to cause envy with you Euro guys, but contrary to what you believe the full retail version of PES5 is indeed available in some regions. Afterall, most of your stores already have copies of the game in stock, and are only sitting on them till the 'official' release date.

Over here, stores have no qualms about moving copies. How they got them is anybody's guess, since traditionally PES5 is not released here. Copies do come available but usually after the Euro release. This year they've been fast, and are going like hotcakes, since not many went for WE9 (coz the need to patch and such).

So take my word for it, I am playing the full retail version. I dont have a PC to take pics and prove it, and I wouldn't care too anyway.

I have it, and I'm playing it and I'm willing to share some info for you guys that are interested. For those detractors, just twiddle ur thubms and wait till the 21st then
