No, the AI isn't spot on, you poor excuse for a prole. It's far from spot on, otherwise it'd be perfect. Real clever! Has your brain been functioning recently, or do you bend down with pleasure to let Konami fuck you up the arse? Have you not noticed the AI manages to get away with fouls that you do not, such as taking down a player on goal and not getting a card? Have you not noticed that all the AI does is stick out the players legs to get the ball? Have you not noticed that a player with 99 top speed and acceleration can be caught up with almost any defender? This is not like football, this is a load of bollocks.

another question i hope someone can answer...how come it seems "easier" to play on 5* rather than 3*..
I mean when i first got PES5 i wanted to get used to the more patient style required for the game i played on 3* and my matches always ended in draws, or the odd 1-0 win...wheras on 5* i was able to beat Chelsea 3-1 and Liverpool 4-0.
shouldn't it be harder on 5* rather than the opposite

The thing is monsieur is that when you play the cpu on a higher level it means they go at the game full pelt!.. charging round after the ball like its the winning lottery ticket with their name on it.. so to make it harder for you giving you less time.. in contrast moving the ball around quickly enough is guaranteed at some point to earn you space.. whether it be across the wings (which is usually the case) or in the midfield slot Kaka/scholes/Rooney role.. so in essence the game should be harder but because the cpu charges round willy nilly as long as your competent at keeping possession of the football you find space somewhere. On 3* the cpu adopts a more negative stance.. not always but when you play teams with five in midfield they'll shut up shop when they score one goal.

And in response to Asian_Tiger I agree it is a shame when people cannot voice their opinions openly on a forum without being cussed!
Secondly i'd like to add that i didnt mean any insult to your style of play i just want to see fellow pes gamers enjoy their game and get the best from it. So if i did cause any disrespect in my previous post I apologise.

Edit: I don't dislike all of Pro Evo 5, I just prefer Pro Evo 4 personally. All the good points of Pro Evo 5 have already been pointed out by the fanboys so I'm just pointing out the overlooked negative points. Thanks.

If the full game is anything like the demo, then I havn't encounterd this pace problem. You just need some space and then super sprint.

P.S. I don't know if it's just me, but for some reason it seems from diffrent posts that PES3 is better than 4...

There will always be people who prefer PES3 over PES4, and PES4 over PES5 or whatever.
Its probably what they like about the previous games, that theyve cut out of the sequel so they dont like it anymore.

People prefer GT3 over GT4, AOEmpires 2 over 3 etc.

I havn't played PES4, but it sounds like you can't score from outside the box, every thorugh-pass is almost a goal and the game is really easy.
I'll wait for my PES5 to arrive in order to decidie if it's better from PES3, but judging by the demo, it's waayyy better

You dont have to be good at strategy/tactics in PES4. All that you needed was just mad-button-pressing. PES5 makes you think. If you play PES5 like PES4, you will be punished with frustration.

However, with brains and patience, PES5 reveals itself as the god of all footy games bar non. If you don't like it, go and play FIFA where you don't have to think about what you're doing...

However, with brains and patience, PES5 reveals itself as the god of all footy games bar non. If you don't like it, go and play FIFA where you don't have to think about what you're doing...

Play the game with Real Madrid and give the ball to the master - Zi Zou - the motion in which he dribbles the ball replicates of that in real life... would the people in PES world not agree???

Totally agree mate i have noticed this with a few of the greats.
Everyone seems to complain how slow Zidane is, but they don't realise that he is actually slow. He just has exellent ball control which has been implemented into the game nicley.

Everytime I pick this game up it reveals something else - it really is the best footy game I've ever played. I've even forgotten about Football Manager... for the time being
Playing with Liverpool for instance, Cisse has scored a couple of blinding volleys, Crouch has set up some corkers but, as it stands, has missed some sitters and, when controlled properly, Gerard's surging runs are absolutely spot on.

Noted something different on PES5 today.

One of my players got injured and was lying on the ground for a quite a long time whilst I was in the midst an attack. No one really bothered about him and but I can actually see him in pain near the penalty box. The moment I lost possession of the the ball, the ref blew the whistle. There was cut scene as the player was attended to. The ref continued the game by throwing the ball to the CPU. And guess what the CPU gave a long kick to the other end of the pitch to the delight of my defenders. Deliberate, I don't know. But it is really cool. And by the way, my injured player was able to continue with the game as he was not injured at all!!! No first aid sign whatever.

PES5 is quality. Yes, they could touch up the attacking AI and the supporter's still look as though they have been made out of cardboard, but the gameplay is magic. You cannot say the gameplay has not been improved!!!
