Pes5 Penalty Kicks..

Hey guys I wonder if in PES-5 u can move the goalie of his line and there will be different styles of Kicks u can do. ?

IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION.

I doubt you can move the goalie off his line cause goalies can't do that if im correct.

And I think the style of penalty kicks will change.

I hope the penalties are drastically changed as they were pish in PES4.....I hated going into a penalty shootout as it was boring and unfair...the ball doesnt even go which way you press the D-pad sometimes..!

with rubbish players the only way you know they will get it on target is to hit it low down the middle, which can be tapped in if saved anyway..

Oh and by the way im a Goalkeeper and when the player makes contact with the ball you can move off your line.

You on about rebounds ? You cant tap a saved penalty in during a penalty shoot out

It would actually be quite good if you used the analogue stick to be able to move the goalie off the line a wee bit. It would most definetly have to be a feature in future games, using the intelligence of the cell, but if moving off your line made it easier to save, but say you only got away with it 1/100 times. I guess we're probably talking PES10 til we get stuff like that though.

On Topic: Personally, I think htey should concentrate on the striker, and how much power he can place on his shot, rather than the goalkeepers doing an 'illegal' move; (it's pointless running out once it's been struck. You don't have time to run out then dive.) However, if they did change something about the goalkeepers, I would like to be able to move them along the line using the directional buttons/ analog sitcks, then press a 'shape button' to perform the selected dive.

Yeah they keep promising new penalty systems and have failed to do a good one... they should go for the ISS style, that was great!! Didn't feel as cheated after a shootout....

amen to that! I hate penalties on PES4 for the same reasons. I turned it off long ago and class it as a draw (in multiplayer of course)

what was the ISS style...its been so long since I played ISS 3 that I remember....although one thing I did liek about ISS3 is the tricks etc. and things you could unlock...stadium editor-was great!

I quite dislike the current penalties on PES4/WE8:LE as they do injustice to real penalties in my opinion. In real football penalties doesn't just involve luck it involves skill, the skill to be able to put the ball in the net and as far in the corners as possible. I think the same as many in this thread, and being able to shuffle the goalkeeper along his goal-line.

I think certain players should have a new Special Ability being Penalty which gives them a higher percentage of putting the ball in the back of the net and into the side-netting if you understand.

I also think there should be 5 penalty kick styles on WE9/PES5 being:

1. A simple run up ending with a side foot.
2. A strong, fast run up ending in a thump of the laces.
3. A one step 'run up'. For example, an Henry free-kick.
4. A 'dummy' run up like many professionals use today, stopping and pausing then going again.
5. A fast run up ending with a cheeky chip like Di Caneo.

penalties is one of the most annoying things on pes4. it is annoying once you send the keeper the wrong way and the ball still goes wide or hits the post. a power bar is a good idea to add onto the penalty kick option.

If you add a power bar then it will become to easy. As soon as you find out the perfect amount of power you need to a score a goal, all penalties will be unstoppable.
