Ml

Has anyone started a ML yet? Two quick q's:

1. How does the training part work? Rumours say you assaign players to different trainings instead of going through the time consuming task of doing it yourself. True?

2. If you edit the stats of a player and start the ML, do they appear in their edited form or with default stats as in PES4 (The problem is only in the case of stats and ages)?

Pro Evolution soccer 5 editing

Someone whom identified themselves as "Wolfhook", the dude that makes patches for PES, wrote that its much more difficult to patch PES5 like he previously did for version 4. Is this true? I think he was talking specifically about the Xbox version. But I would think its similar to Ps2 version.:(

Ive Started Ml

1. The training now at the end of the season is good bcuz u can select what training method to give players (like championship manager) and u do it through menus. Now you dont have to do it individually its a lot better.

2. yes if u edit players and then start ur master league they will now have their new stats. and there is a new box in the edit menu so u can now make a player like urself and stat him right up and but him into a club team.

3. anyway buy it you wont be disapointed

Does anyone know where I can find a detailed review of the Master League mode? Or any posts that describe in detail? Or could anyone talk over the changes?

I love the ML mode, but I'm wondering how it changed from PES4. PES4, in my opinion, was far too easy of a ML, giving many times more salary points than deserved. Are the points structured better? In PES4, if you developed a player, they didn't really get any higher value, and were useless to sell, because they were still cheap and when sold, their stats go back down to the default. Does this still occur? Also, it seemed like no matter what salary I negotiate, the game makes me pay the estimated salary... is this fixed? Do I still have to spend hours training to improve a player in the offseason?

Do computer teams adjust their tactics? In PES4, they did not. And do they get rid of aging players when they should be? In PES4, they not only kept aging players, but would make them starters while much better players sat on the bench. Also, do computer teams actually have player fatigue this time? In PES4, they would use the same exact lineup every match, unless there was a red card or injury.

Thanks

To the first q, read the above post (by djBennyben, I believe). You now assaign the players to different traings so you do not have spend hours training them yourself (yeah!).

I'm not sure about the second one, but I believe I've read somwhere (maybe the official Playstation mag's review) that the computer teams change tactics according to opponent and whether they play at home or away.

Pitch Size,Free Kicks, Pens,Linesman etc

Right i've got a few questions. First of all are all the pitch sizes the same with each team like pe4, because that does me head in. Its easy to win games away from home but if the teams pitches were smaller it wud become more of a challenge. Anyone know if this has been changed? i doubt it has because i havent heard no1 but myself complain in any forums about the pitch sizes in pe4 before.

Secondly, are linesman visible why playing the match?

Thirdly, Free kicks and penaltys, is there going to be more choice of where to put the ball expect from left right and centre?

Will penaltys be harder to get because it was easy to get one in pe4, the slightest touch in the box gets rewarded with a penalty? Plus freekicks are given away if a man gets the ball, this has to be stopped really..?

Whats the crowd like?

Injuries to players, any upgrades or changes?

Most important to me, in pro evo 4, if you were passing around, running at defenders near the box, if you replayed the goals, most the time you would see defenders walking/running the other way when the ball and player are in reach, not enough interceptions, and not enough marking, this must be a priority of change and i hope it has been for pro evo 5 because it was too easy to score and rip the defence open.

Hope anyone can answer my questions i know theres a lot...
Thanx

Not noticed pitch sizes - don't see the benefit anyway.

No linesmen unless caught offside

Penalties are still fairly easy if you do enough skills in the box of course ;) There are still the 5 basic choices for penalties. As for freekicks...slightly more control with options - can now have 1 player to tap the ball whilst the other kicks only can ask the player closest to the ball to shoot straight off to catch the defence napping.

The crowd are OK, not generally seen in-game due to slowdown

I noticed an injury the other day when at half time a message told be one of my players needed to come off - a few changes here.

More interceptions but occasionally players don't always react the way you'd like (but do they IRL?)
