Hmm, it comes out next few weeks and it still sounds a little slow. I hope this was a beta version October 2002, cause as it sounds I am nt sure if I want this stuff in my house.

Wait till you play it, it's likely you'll bite your tongue off with frustration. I've headbutted my control pad on multiple occasions due to the retarded keepers ruining almost every match. It ruins the entire game.

Zygalski, are you saying that PES 6 is practically WE10 with better animations, gameplay-wise? That would be very little improvements...
Have you payed attention to the off-the-ball running? I heared that has improved....

Thanks for the info Zygalski, sounds like Pepe Reina should be on the box instead of John Terry!

I for one am looking forward to a return of high scoring matches, after a year of hard fought 0-0 and 1-0 matches in PES5, and I've really got into French Football this season (Thursday nights- Channel 5) so I'm delighted it's going to be fully licensed, hopefully we get the Bundesliga next year.

Glad that United are licensed (what with me being a Man Utd fan) but losing the Chelsea license is like taking two steps forward and one step back.

hmmm dont wanna make stupid questions but did you happen to see if there are more slots for teams ? I mean...more teams in Other Leagues B?
i could care less about licences since anyone could make an option file and you all prolly play on tv camera so you dont necessarily pay attention to the kits the whoel game...but having more teams means option file makers could get more teams in...say someone can make more south american/mexican teams besides putting the poor UCL teams in other leagues A

thanks for the info.. sadly, if it's near the finished product, sad to see that transfer is still not very up to date.. but i certainly think that they will get it sorted out!!!
Rosters shouldn't even be an issue and either should option files.

Are there plans to allow players to trade custom content such as option files via Xbox Live?

Seabass: The opportunities that Xbox Live and Marketplace offer are very tempting to me as a developer. However, I regret to say that it won't be available in this version because we're busy focusing on the other elements needed to create a next-gen game, plus we want to make the online game much better. In the future we hope to include more Marketplace options if there is the demand. We're also considering updating rosters, although that depends on licensing issues.

:erm:What?!

"Other elements" for next-gen being???

He's certainly NOT talking about next-gen graphics.
Oh wait...he must be talking about improving the keepers.

"We want to make the online game much better.":eek:hmy: Much better???:erm:

You can start by making downloadable roster updates for transfers that happened months ago. Bettery yet, how about uploadable/tradeable option files? What about giving us the option to play unranked games online with our own custom option files, no stat edits on them, just transfers. Why not FINALLY let us use our Master League teams online? How about giving us a way to pick teams so that both users have to confirm that they approve of each others teams before starting a match, so that cheesers don't pretend to be an average team, then pick Brazil after you confirm your team? If you don't want to do that, at least give us the ability to exit out of the kit select screen without getting a loss. And for GOD'S SAKE, could you give us the ability to play with gamers overseas?!?! The U.S. and European installments of WE/PES have the exact same gameplay/rosters/teams, so why don't you give us the ability to play each other?? I was playing Europeans in FIFA, among many games, years ago. Get with it!!!

No, instead, why don't you spend another year just trying to fix the lag.

The thing with the keepers is that they're reactions are terribly slow. If you slow down a replay you'll notice how far the ball will go before the keepers even more for it.

But please people, get a grip and take this for what it really is, a game!
It will never be perfect in any aspect, but it still is the best darn football game ever

I am looking forward to it. Hopefully there will be a PC demo like previous year. I don't really bother to worry about licences and transfers, there are always patches made by kind souls that fix Konami's shortcomings. That said I don't think they should "get away" with it, and it seems to be lazyness or lack of planning on their part when they cannot get recent transfers in. They should be lucky there is a good big editing and customizing community for PES in my opinion.

Can't really complain about the transfers really, i mean if you wanted them to of all been updated then pes6 would most like be delayed!

I'm not convinced. A team of coders could do this in a day. How long does it take you to transfer RvN to Madrid? I could have done it in the time it took me to reply to this message. The transfer window is closed now, they could knock that one off in a day.

It takes longer than you think, whenever you transfer a player from one team to another it messes up the lineups. I'm sure coding wise it would be much harder and more time consuming than doing it through the editor. I have to say Konami are rather lazy but they are abit slow when it comes to updates, maybe its the fact there Japanese and they don't have very good people doing the research..

two questions mate:
1 have you played pes 6?

2 im getting it on xbox 360 so i think things will be alot better in perfomance wise if not then thatll be a major bummer, ii have honestly watched all the pes videos and the keepers look good.

Seabass has stated in an interview that they can only update the teams until a certain point. Clearly this point is before the transfer deadline day. He didn't say why this was but said that if they could change it, they would but are in a situation where its currently not possible.

Take that for what you will.

Yeah, there is a simple fix for this. Allow custom option files online; at least for unranked games. However, I'm sure Seabass is too busy designing a sleak menu screen for next-gen consoles to worry about online option files. I stopped playing WE9 online after one week, because the out of date rosters (even more so than the lag) were killing me.

Could you imagine the leagues we could have online with the ability to make our own transfers, etc.?

Oh yeah, and how does the transfer window have anything to do with the horrible national team player selection? To avoid having old national team rosters, couldn't Seabass just make the roster pool have more players in it? I don't want to play with WC rosters anymore. The WC is old news.

Furthermore, the fact that players still have fake names drives me crazy. EA's NCAA Football game on Xbox allowed people to use the Datel Transfer kit to edit the players names, from just numbers. This was two years ago mind you. When gamers played online, the edited names showed up on their own consoles. No stat editing, transfers, or create-a-players were allowed; just name edits. Why is that so hard?
