Playing with myself

Thats me finished online, played 120 games, lost about half, most defeats to real madrid or lag infested games and admittedly on a lot of occasions to better players.

What has annoyed me the most, I have now quit 3 games in that 120, 2were impossible to play, 1 the opponent was being a d*ck. I have also suffered the dreaded opening screen freeze 3 times + opponents have quit on me I would guess 3/4 times - not due to lag as they quit right near the end.

So after the above it appears I have been earmarked as an ill mannered player! I dont seem to be linked to any division now and my ball is flat (ish). Just who the f**k are konami to be so judgemental, this game online is yet again a disaster - testified by the low numbers of people who play it online.

I have played this game since the ISS pro days and this is how we are rewarded. 2008 was abysmal so I avoided 2009, now we hear talk of 2011 already - how can we trust Konami? the people there must pray the days of universal 50mb broadband come soon to save this crap.

think im going to give master league a go now as that from what I read on here is exempt from most criticism, my problem is once youve played online the buzz is so much better when you win than beating the AI (once youve edited the teams to make them actually attack).

And before anyone slags me off - you know what - I dont want to come on here moaning, Id rather be on here saying how great this game is. The gameplay is a massive step in the right direction and graphically it is great to look at but I just cannot believe a company can mislead its fanbase (re online gaming) so much then maintain a wall of silence.

I feel your pain my friend, I really do. Unlike you I always seem to get a really good connection though, even most of the time when the opponents is red!? Weird I know!

What I cant stand is @rseholes who use the speed whore teams like barca and real madrid and show the replays etc when they score to really try to piss you off! That does my head in especially when they can watch the goals til their heart is content at the end of the game! I am not a quitter but this has made me quit a few times because these idiots actually think they are good at the game! Its pathetic!

I pick other teams such as Italy etc who are not the quickest in the game. I even use the team I support, Celtic, even though they arent the best in the game.

Go to my post on fixing the AI mate and I gaurantee you a very enjoyable Master League where the opposition will attack you and score goals as well as being defensively sound.

Last night I was knocked off the top of Division 2 in the 2nd week of February :-( Shaktar Donestk hold top spot at the moment with 3 or 4 other teams very close by. Its fantastic and it has actually taken me away from playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 with my mates! lol

how can you tell if you have been deemed an ill mannered player?

i also have no division and i could swear that the thread starter is me cause i feel exactly the same way with eaxctly the same outcome

i.e..gobby, rude and arrogant players with a false sense of superiority (even though alot of them were better),....bad connection...my brother knocking out my ethernet cable accidentally..., me not wanting to deal with the lag and so exiting a game

and last but not least..my true shame
....TRYINg to score own goals to quit the game (i did this ONCE time...only once)...i didnt even get to finish scoring the third one and it said "deemed unporting"

i agree it was unsporting but i have to say...i was playing against an abusive player and the lag was BEASTLY....i coudnt take it anymore

i have also had cases where my game froze in the game build up and they took points away from me?

is this why i am not in any division? how do i rectify it?

I had the same kind of problems but then changed to wired and everything was ok again. I must be lucky because you said "your brother knocked the cable out" so i assume you are wired.

There are a lot of idiots about online who watch the replays of all their goals and all thier shots. It drives me mad too.

I can handle the Barca and Real guys because i just set up to defend it. It does get boring though.

I feel for you and its something that Konami has had 3 years to sort and they have not.
Very poor effort on their part.

I appreciate they are not the wittiest titles, but lets face it if you play this game online you need a bit of light relief and if you put titles like 'my rant' etc no one reads them!

Been reflecting, and to be honest I wonder how much of this games problems (online) are more down to the people who play it. so many people (I would guess 80%) choose Real, so many seem to cheat in one way or another. And if you see the discussions going on in the lobby - PES must have the most unpleasant community around that I can remember. It is more of a surprise when you dont find people hurling abuse (often racist) at other players.

Not sure you can rectify it mate, only thing to do is vote with your feet and avoid online. I have to admit I also took the own goal route in one game. And I agree the worst thing about this version is getting beat by crap players who have been allowed/made to actually think they are good. Getting beat by good players is ok, often you'll learn something!
