Call of Duty 4 news coming soon?

Infinity Ward may reveal details on the next installment in the Call of Duty series very soon.

According to an admin on the Infinity Ward forums, a colossal update will be made "in the near future."

This is the post made by the admin:

"Insert boring update about some mundane 'what we're doing' detail that no one actually cares about (such as new employees or kleenex testing) because they're just reading these updates for the glimpse hope that we'll slip and say something we're not suppose to about our next title, or that we're going to allude to the fact that maybe, just maybe something that actually is interesting is coming up in the near future (and by near future I mean next Saturday).

Probably no visible damage in GT5 -nothing official but that's just bullshit. If you are going for realism, then at least show some damage. The online mode will probably be ricocheting off the fences and fence riding galore.

I'm looking forward to DTM and Colin McRae and I fear they will just be better. GT4 was a disappointment anyway, probably because GT3 was awesome.

No doubt that with GT3 the step-up in graphics from PS2 versions was phenomenal, as will be the step-up to PS3. GT4 didn't have much different in terms of graphics so had no real marketing impact. The lack of damage on the cars is a huge flaw, but that's the downside of all the licenses. I much prefer games like Burnout, you get great graphics, plus terrific crashes and damage on the vehicles. There's only so far the lovely visuals can take GT, as they've pretty much done everything else they can.

Ah the memories Burnout 2 brings back...that was an awesome game. Me and my brother would constantly adjust the record times.

I think I heard some guy from the Forza Motorsport team say that damage is allowed by the manufacturers, just that it's alot of hardwork and it has to be done in the beginning. Nothing official still though.

Tom Clancy goes strategy in EndWar

Ubisoft reveals it's long-speculated Clancy franchise under construction at the Shanghai studio

Ubisoft has revealed the long-speculated latest entry in the Tom Clancy series, EndWar, a strategy game set on the backdrop of World War III.

The game is being lead by Ubisoft's Shanghai studio and Clancy veteran Michael de Plater, and is set to release on next-gen consoles in fiscal year 2007/2008.

According to Ubisoft EndWar was built from the ground up for consoles to "push the standards of technology, showcasing artificial intelligence, graphics, physics and animations that were not possible prior to the launch of the new hardware systems."
