I have just got one of the best patch I have seen for pro evo. All the logos and cup look incredible and there is a new espn score board and replay screen which look top class.

Important! Read before install!
- If you using 16:9 screen mode – copy cv_0 folder from Add-ons/16-9/ to PES 2008 Patch Install/ before installing
- Patch will automatically replace your option file, settings.exe and PES 2008.exe


Installation
Recommended to backup your cv_0.img, cv_1.img, rv_e.img, settings.exe, option files
1) Open PES 2008 Patch 1.0.exe -> Choose your game directory -> Press Install
2) Go to your PES 2008 Directory -> PES 2008 Patch Install -> AFS Explorer -> AFS Explorer
3) Go to -->file --> Import AFS file
4) Now go to PES 2008 directory/img and select cv_0.img and click open
5) Now AFS Explorer will open up the cv_0.img file.
6) With cv_0.img open in AFS Explorer, click -->Action -->Import Folder and select the cv_0 folder from PES 2008 Patch Install/
7) "One or more files need more space than they have reserved. You need to rebuild the AFS file to insert them. Do you want to rebuild the AFS file" --> Click YES
8) Choose new temporary name for the file eg 'cv_0new.img'
9) Wait for it to rebuild
10) "AFS regenerated successfully! Now files will be updated" -->click OK
11) Importing files box appears, followed by confirmation of importing completion.
12) "Do you wish to open the new file?" (or similar message) >Click NO
13) Wait for it to finish then close AFS Explorer.
14) Go to you C:/ProgramFiles/KONAMI/pes2008/img folder and move your original cv_0.img somewhere safe or rename it cv_0backup.img or something
15) Rename your cv_0new.img to cv_0.img

16) Repeat the procedure for cv_1.img and rv_e.img

There is now a v1.1 out with January transfers done.

hello

yes it an .exe file. it installs in your pes directory then you use AFS Explorer to copy the file on to your game

Thousand cheerz for the patch, bonesisd!!! have to say that it works great!!! been waiting for something like this for ages and, now, when i've returned to PES i find this awrsome patch!!! ;) big ups there, ma'e!

btw, if anyone has trouble w/patch's option file then i suggest moving (i.e. cutting) ur option file and settings to a safe place THEN install the patch...if the patch has been installed then run the exe file again and simply click on REPAIR -- worked for me ;) follow the instructions as what i believe to have been clearly laid out and there shouldn't be much problems...

how do i get rid of that espn stuff.. ive been trying to replace it with the files that Deckz put up. maybe I didnt spend enough time on it :(

Problem with patch!!!!!

allmost everything works great, the only problem that I have is with the score that is too little and with a black square behind it.

Is there a way to fix that?

Please help me

hey guys, i havent added the patch yet, but i was wondering how the boots are. How many new boots are they, and do they overwrite the default boots (adidas & pes boots) and also i have many championships in the game and many edits, will the patch overwrite these edits...if so is there any way that i can aviod this??

I've installed everything, but now PES2008 won't start... It says: "Either the file is damaged or was not correctly installed. Please uninstall before installing it again." What can I do???

this file is bullshit! ı made all the requested things..yeah it worked,it made all the team stripts 'chelsea'.I now play with Arsenal FC in League mode with Chelsea Kits! God Damn you idiot! Unsuccessful file ı'm sorry to tell this guys...

Try these installation instructions...I haven't downloaded the patch or tested it myself, but these rules applies for almost every patch.

Read the whole thing before attempting.


For the .bin files:

Load up you .img file on AFS Explorer, under 'Advanced' click on 'Import Folder' then browse for the directory of your downloaded patch (all unzipped/unrared).

Then press OK, there may be a few files in which you would need to reserve more space for, in this case; click yes when prompted if you would like to create a new afs file.
Click yes and when the save dialog box opens, save the name to something you can remember and easily interperated what the actual file is (eg. would like to create another cv_0.img, name it cv_0a.img).
*Note, remember to click on *All Files in the 'save as' drop down menu.

Once your new .img file is written, the files would be automatically be transfered.
Once patched, backup the origianl .img file somewhere safe (or delete it - not recommended until you have tested the new .img file), then rename your your new patched .img file to the original name.


**IMPORTANT**

When attempting to patch with this method, make sure ALL file names are named as 'unnamed_????.bin' in the patch folder's directiry otherwise these files would not be recognised by the program.
(for example, the .bin file which stores the 128x128 emblem files in cv_0 is called flags_128x128_8092.bin, make sure you rename it as unnamed_8092.bin).

When you are finished with the cv_0, cv_1, and rv_e patching, remember to back up or delete your original PES2008_EDIT_01.bin file (found in 'My Documents\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2008\save') before applying the new ones.

And also, make sure you have the param_data_27.bin installed for cv_1.img, this is a very important file if the kits are to work.


For Kitserver:

Make sure the KitServer folder is in the right place (Program Files/KONAMI/Pro Evolution Soccer 2008)...
...and also that the "map" file (Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2008\kitserver\GDB\uni\map.txt) contains all the right contents for the kits folder.
