Will you still be buying the XBox 360 version of the game?

There has been a lot of confusion surrounding the XBox 360 version of the game so I am going to try and clear it up once and for all (with a little help from PESFan's Bonessi).

- Online mode is very weak. There is no lobby, and the gameplay is slower than when you play offline.
- No full edit mode. You can only change exisiting players. No transfers!
- You can't save replays either online or offline.
- Gameplay is 'slower' than Winning Eleven 10 but "more precise, shooting from distance is difficult, goals have to be worked for" (Bonessi).

Credit to ryespurs for the following clips:

LAMPARD VS BRAZIL
Nice goal by Lamps. After receiving the ball from Lennon, he finds the top corner.

ROBINSON VS BRAZIL
This video shows how keepers have improved on shot stopping, with nice one-handed saves.

ROONEY VS ITALY
This shows the new 'outside-foot' shot technique. Animation is excellent.

BECKHAM VS REP. IRELAND
A nice shot from Becks which looks very realistic. This one hits the bar.

OWEN VS JAMES
Long range effort half-volley training ground goal here. Thought some would like to see!

LAMPARD VS HOLLAND
A shot from Lamps which hits both the bar and post!

OWEN VS HOLLAND
A cool finish from Owen after being put through on goal.

CROUCH VS SWEDEN
Header by Crouch after a Walcott shot hits the bar.

ROONEY VS BULGARIA
A sweet finish into the top corner from Rooney. Another example of the classy side-foot shot.

Bah, I dont think its worth the money really. You could better buy the PS2 version I think. But on the other hand you have the GREAT graphics.

PS. When I play the video I see a white stripe behind the players. ( ENGLAND white shirt )
The ball carries a white stripe behind him aswell.

Cat O' War!!
It's a waste of money like I said before, I have both ps2 and x360, the ps2 version gives you more features for less money, the only "advantage" of the x360 version being the somewhat better graphics, it's just not enough for your hard earned cash, I want the best gaming experience, and, ps2 version is the best option.

I think you and Pategato encountered some things too negative:
About your points:
On-line play:
You said it is very weak because there are no lobbies, but they were also not in the PES 5 version, so that is equal to the PES 5. It's not worse!
Gameplay is slower you said: It depends on your connection: I have read many posts from people who got a perfect and lagless game.
At worst, if you have a bad connection, it is equally good as the PES 5 version. Not worst either!
I agree with your critics about the edit mode, which is a shame.
Also their should be a way to save your replays, so I agree there as well.
About the gameplay: This is a matter of taste. If you like the arcade-feel of WE10, then you will be disappointed. I myself like the slower, much more realistic pace of the game. Be honest: Didn't you think WE10 was WAY too fast? I had associations with horse-racing :D
Yes, true, it is harder to score with PES 6, but I am sure this was your complaint at the start of PES 5 as well, right? The game is hard, has a steep learning-curve. Just play it for two weeks and you willl feel excited when you do well against the CPU or on-line. :)

For me there is no doubt at all: I will certainly buy the 360 version :)

Scarface

The World Is Yours
Definitely not. I spend half my time in the edit mode, and like to keep everything up to date, so without a proper edit mode, or the option to save replays, I won't even consider buying it. I'll stick to the PC version.

Great post. I agree totally, i really like the loook of the gameplay and i like the realistic approach. It makes even more satisfying when you do score. I admit the edit mode is a BIG blow, but meh. Definatly on 360.

For the online aspect, it is only the XBox version without lobbies. So you are telling me an XBox 360 (next-gen console) can't have lobbies, but but PS2 over a year ago (PES5) had lobbies no problem. And less stadiums, what's up with that?

Clearly the game has been rushed to be released on the 360.

Theres talk of poor online and no lobbies for 360 version, surely though as the game is not officially released until friday the lobbies could be introduced then and most new games suufer online at first and then updates improve them.

Without a doubt, I'll stick to my beloved PS2. After all the discussions that have concerned the Xbox 360 and PS2 versions, I think that the only advantages of the Xbox 360 over PS2 version of the game are the graphics and in every other aspect of the game, PS2 version comes in front....
Actually, it needs no question, Xbox 360 PES6 is a trick from Konami...

i cant believe the edit mode has'nt got all features on 360 , it would have been the perfect game, looks like its the ps2 version for me until the 360 one is cheaper.

i am a little disgusted with the no edit mode.but i reckon its a conspiracy,uhoh.lol. i think that microsoft have asked them not to put the full edit mode in,why u ask,so that when there are transfers ect they can sell an update on the market place!my thoughts anyways.

konami shud know it is 1 of the most important parts of there game so surley ouldnt leave it out,not even if they were short of time, cant see why they wud b.

also i dont think they will have lobbies or anything by the time it comes out as ppl are clearly getting there hands on the full version early!gd to hear online might but gd but difficult to decipher frm 2 contrasting posts!

Please explain how the PS2 version of PES6 is the same as PES4 with PES5 graphics when PES4's graphics are just the same as PES5's.

Konami fucked up. Would have been a definite buy for me if everything would have been OK, but it just sounds WORSE the PES5, so why buy PES6 for Xbox. I'm very VERY dissappointed, as this title could have made me buy a 360, if dione right.
I dont have a PS2, and also wont buy one... so I guess I'll have to stick to PES5 for at least another year now...

I no what everyone is saying and i totally agree.
I have shown my dissaproval (see some of my posts)of konami,
and there bid to fob us of with a second rate unfinished game,
now fifa always get slated when they do this sort of thing.
BUT My main point is we are all having a moan about pes6, But i think there would be a lot more people moaning if they didnt have a release for us until next year. ok so this release will be limited but its better than no release at all. Although I will be buying fifa07 this year, like so many others. so i think konami could loose a lot of fans to fifa
