Honest Review Ps3 Problems

Without even touching on the lack of innovation within the menu and options, online lag.. ect…ect…(which i also felt flawed PES6) its difficult to for me to recommend this game if you have a PS3, the frame rate is so bad.. replays are unwatchable and it also pops up frequently during gameplay which i find has lost a lot of depth and atmosphere.
And why should it matter what kind of TV you have??, whats that about?
How can they release an unfinished game that barely manages to stutter along?, its almost criminal… and don’t start me on the gameplay!
Like yourself i’m trying to were blinkers because i love this game so much over the years but its hard to ignore and even harder to accept.

I’ve been playing since the early ISS days and PES had been my staple game for the last 8-9 years… the biggest reason why i game at all..
I’m usually in the shop at midnight on the release date but this year for the first time ever i rented the game given a bit of a let down with the options in PES6.. and i’m glad i did as it pains me to say i don’t think i’ll be buying PES this year (nor Fifa as its worse and i’d rather suck Satans c@*k)…..

I’m not gonna buy it because if people keep buying it they’ll just keep churning out the same low standard.

Take a look around, its not good.. its a 60% game at best.
Christ! look at the presentation, its childish.
People will tire of this version a lot sooner than previous versions.

This is a bad deal for PS3 owners and i know i expect more from my console and Konami who have given us this half arsed approach yet again!…..so i’ll wait to see if there’s a foreign release later in the year with the bugs ironed out.. who knows..
I’m just really annoyed that for the first time ever i’ll not be playing a proper footie game this crimbo while having a few beers.

I feel gutted I bought a PS3 for 425 quid, not just because PES cos that's just one game but I really think the X-Box 360 is a better console now, I don't know a lot about the technical stuff with consoles but I feel I have been ripped off with the 425 price tag and especially now that you can get the PS3 for 300 quid, all I ever hear is people complaining about the PS3 and there are hardly any complaints about the X-Box 360!

I definately agree that PES has taken a step back this year, I dunno if Konami actually care about improving PES because it seems to me that they now think that they will get the same amount sales of their game no matter what and although the gameplay has always been good, surely there has got to be more to the game than the gameplay!

I just can not belive the lack of option s in the game compared to previous pro evo the main one being that you cant even choose the kits before kick off ,i played ajax v liverpool in a cup game we both had white kits on for fucks sake , this goes for all games includin master league ,as for the gamplay well im going to give it another week to make my mind up and wait for a decent option file,also i think the wide camera angle is poor the players look to small and the slowdown is worse ive switched to normal long it s pretty good , but early signs are not good it certainly seems like us loyal playstation owners have been shit on again .

Absolutely agree with everything said here, i've been the owner of the 360 and used to play it on a normal tv and was impressed with the play of evo6 apart from the lack editing but apart from that the game on SDTV was always crisp and fast.

I then flogged my 360 for a set of decks at the time seemed like a good idea. My brother then got a free ps3 with his phone contract from www.thelink.com, this then made me miss having a console so asked him if he'd have 350 quid for it! I then got an 27" HD LCD screen with my new contact so thought i'd be in for a right treat playing the ps3 on HD in my room. Basically i've been waiting for 2 months to get EVO thinking it was going to be the first must have title for the PS3, what i'm left with is a pathetic attempt that doesn't even match the ps2 version, at least with the PS2 version you get to play the game with out juddering one bit, the 360 version is even better it looks and plays mint bar the SH!TE 360 pads.

Now i've heard this bantered about that the ps3 is much harder to make games for and the ports from console to console, see link.

To be fair to the ps3 the 360 has had a few more firmware update to it, and has been out longer so obviously will have better games.

This maybe more ps3 fault than Konami but bottom line is i paid £40 for a game which you can get for half the price and play on a console a quarter of the price!!!!!!!!!

you can't disagree with whats been said in the thread but I still prefer the ps3 version simply as the pads are much easier and more comfortable to use. I also have the PC version so will be usin that to play online mostly.

PS3 IS a better console. FACT.
PES 2008 is not as bad as everyone thinks. Yes it lags, yes it has no options, .
I havent seen it slowdown offline, just seen it lag online.
The gameplay is awesome! People forget that...

I think the gameplay is more realistic, but that doesn't necessarily make it more enjoyable in my opinion. And gameplay can often be spoiled anyway by minor details, such as the lack of kit selection in some modes of the game: doesn't matter how good the gameplay is, you can't play a football match when both sides where the same colours!

i fell it is fantastic on ps3, once u get used to the dodgy frame rate u will appreciate pes for wat it is, more fluid gameplay, great counter attacks. yes der is lag online but once they get it sortd it will b unstoppable. well done to konami for noticin the problem and now tryin 2 fix it.

Counter attacks are almost impossible due to the innacuracy of the passing, which is a result of there only being 8 directions in which you can pass the ball

Why should manual pass be neccessary? It wasn't on all the other versions. X passing was always decent - if it went wayward, it was your own fault, perhaps due to holding direction or X for too long or not long enough

It's not. But if you aren't happy with the normal passing system, then use it.
