Yeah, im having the same problem mate... not getting any download prompt coming up at all. So annoying.

no "new" download
after downloadin the v1.20 (which came completely automatic after puttin in the disc) i started the game and selected "download" in system settings. After loggin in, there was a message that there are "currently no new downloads available"! :no:
I still don't recognize any changes in the game! No champions league team roster changes, no champions league kits changes etc...
Is it because i'm using an edited option file?!

guys when you load your option file it will automatically apply (not at mo cos its down) the downloaded content to ya OF. ive managed to keep my option file, and still have all the transfers update liga kits and all, so its only created players it will mess up.
ex: say you created a player in slot 24 for chelsea
konami in theyre update used slot 24 for their player, its gonna mess up right.
thats why i didnt create anything in my option file.
it all works on a database

dont know (or maybe understand coz i'm german ^^) what arsenald meant above.
it also doesnt work to load my option file again. when clickin on download button in system-settings there is currently no new download available!
maybe update really isnt online no more for some reasons... i'll wait till tonight, maybe there are some solutions up till then...

Launched early this morning, a new 41MB patch from Konami which delivered the promised transfer updates and updated Champions League kits amongst other things was released onto the PS3 network. The update has subsequently been removed. Adding new 3rd kits for Liverpool FC and Manchester United, and new squad players like 'Possebom' to the majority of teams, the game still appeared to read the edited kits from your current option file. Also included in the update was a zombie Bendtner!

Yup, I noticed a difference, IT FUCKING BRICKED MY PS3...
The irony... I put the disc in, the system prompted the download of update 1.20, I downloaded it and it installed and restarted, then I had the chance to play a few games (great game btw) and on my 3rd or 4th game it just froze, error 80010514... which apparently is caused by a bad installation of software. Now it can't read Bluray discs (I haven't tried dvd's or cd's and I don't care if it reads them or not tbh).
The irony is that I waited 15 long days to receive this game and when I finally get it it I get screwed in less than a day. I've always updated my system using a pen drive (I feel it's more secure) and hadn't had any problems with my ps3, mainly because I don't trust my internet connection, now I'm on the verge of losing my BC 80 GB PS3 and getting a shitty refurbished 20 GB as a replacement from sony . Oh well... Thanks Konami

They'll should send you a new one which is the same capacity as your damaged one.
If your PS3 is less than a year old they are obligated to replace your HDD with an identical unit. Do not accept a lesser unit. And I doubt PES directly caused it to brick, its more than likely that it had a fault to start with that PES just happened to find and bring to light.
I just had my PS3 replaced today after it decided to go mental on me last week and wouldn't work at all, I am now downloading the new update for this game, hoping it includes the United white socks etc. as earlier mentioned in this thread
