I don't if that's been done before but i searched the forum and found no similar thread.
Well it's because i have a ps3 i need to know which console is better and if i made the wrong move buying the more expensive option. I found some websites that say that the xbox is better because it's got the better games and although, on paper, the ps3 is a more powerful system, developers won't be able to use it to the full potential and will use ports from xbox games ... Thoughts anyone?

does the x box 360 have blue ray? of not then if you get a ps3 your getting a blue ray player also and a decent one of them itself cost quite abit.

Yeah hardware wise the PS3 tends to win, although it will be argued by fanboys etc. that the xbox can be just as good, for the moment.

Which console you choose is down to the exclusive games being released on that platform. I dont really care about exclusives so im getting the PS3 for its potential.

The 360's catalogue of games is far superior right now. In fact, the only great PS3 exclusive I can think of is Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

Microsoft have had the advantage of having their console on the market for longer, and as you mentioned, the PS3 is a more powerful machine, but I would recommend the 360. There are a whole host of great games to play on that console, and more top exclusives on the way. Also, if you're looking to play online, Xbox Live is better than Sony's online experience.

You cannot be serious about this thread.
actually i am serious, i don't want this thread to be a spammers shithole, and i know that people had this thread online in a lot of other websites. I've searched google a lot and never had a decisive answer, so i thought why not asking people who own one or maybe the 2 consoles in the only forum i'm active at. So far the answers were good and helping, thank you.

Try using the search button, there are similar threads on this exact subject. But I can tell you the general consensus; buy the one who you feel has the best games, or what future games attract you.

Someone who owns a PS3 will probably not vote 360. And someone who has a 360 will probably not vote PS3. So it's a bit of a stupid poll.

i was targeting people who own both, or have an unbiased perspective. Other than that i don't take fanboys opinions' in count.

360 has more games and the PS3 is a pain in the arse to develop for despite being a stronger system. Regardless I'm going for a PS3 because I prefer the controller and I can get it cheap. I wouldn't get one full price.

Spot on. It was the practically the same scenario for XBOX and PS2 before, where PS2 had more games.
