This concept image has been on the net for over a year now, and shows what the PS3 may look like:

I think that looks great, but would like to see wireless pads for PS3.

These are 'in-game' screens taken from the PS3 versions of EA's Need For Speed and NFL:

Imagine how good PES is goin to look on PS3!!! We can dream for now...

PS3 wll probably be out about late 2006/early 2007 in europe. The screenshots are genuine EA released them officially. The PS3 image is just a concept image, the real PS3 is to be unvieled at this years E3 in May.

too early to tell really, but apparently xbox 2 will not hav a built in hard drive which is a bit annoyin cos ive got xbox and ps2 an wouldnt hav to worry bout not havin enough room on my memory on my xbox. hopefully ps3 will have hard drive. i think ps3 will be better imo some of the confirmed games for ps3 are MGS4, GTA & PES. Halo 3 and Fable 2 might be launch titles for xbox 2

PS3 is supposedly goin to use BlueRay(think thats what there called) discs which hold 5 times more information than the ps2s dvd discs. I can't confirm that you will be able to play ps2 an psone games but im pretty sure it will be backwards-compatible

Playstation 3 FAQ - The Vital Answers

There was some news released yesterday about the new Xbox console.

I got this from ign.com:

Xbox 360 to Premiere on MTV
Microsoft plans a massive media blitz, Frodo included.
by David Adams

April 11, 2005 - Microsoft will give the world its first real taste of the next-generation Xbox system on MTV next month, as both companies today announced a marketing alliance and celebrity-studded television special in support of the console.

On Thursday, May 12, MTV will air "MTV Presents: The Next Generation Xbox Revealed," hosted by Lord of the Rings star and confessed gaming fanatic Elijah Wood. Microsoft promises to reveal not only details on the next Xbox's connectivity, personalization, and high-definition output, but actual footage from next-generation games.

Las Vegas band The Killers will also play. Uh, did we mention game footage?

The MTV premiere is exciting in itself, but it also supports the notion that the next Xbox will be a big part of Microsoft's E3 showing this year. We expect to see plenty related to the new console at next month's expo, and of course, we'll be passing the good stuff on to you as quickly as possible.

Look for the MTV special to air May 12 at 9:30 PM Eastern, and on May 13 elsewhere in the world. Stay tuned for even more on Microsoft's hot new hardware as news comes in.

What the hell is a BlueRay disc?

to be honest im not to sure, just heard rumours, there not made up tho. BlueRay discs or a disc that can hold more info than a dvd will be needed to run the powerful games

i agree they are takin the piss, doesnt come cheap for us, but if we want games with ultra realistic graphics we need more powerful consoles which need more powerful discs. We just gota take the good with the bad

Why can't they just stick to one disc format for 10 years?
