UPDATE: VERSION 2 FIX 1 NOW AVAILABLE

So here we are - the first fix file for VERSION 2 of my Best of Everything (BOE) option file.

Most of these changes are thanks to the community (see the credits section below), so thank you all!

All the fixes are in the changelog, but the biggies are...

  • More duplicates removed (about 10)
  • Some broken kit links fixed (Bolivia and Toronto)
  • New PL logo (for more accurate kit sleeves)
  • English Championship stadium photos added
  • Updated J-League included
  • Updated comp. logo settings that MUST BE APPLIED MANUALLY (see below)

You must have BOE v2 installed (and followed the instructions correctly) to use this update. Please see the first post of the thread.

Lots and lots of people I need to thank (from this site unless stated otherwise)...

CREDITS:

Cristiano92 for his wonderful DFL option file (including the Bundesliga), which I have used as the base for this, paul2478 for providing some of the stats that went into that file, valencia5 for his work on fixing duplicates and creating a log of his findings, Dorumagesu116 for creating the J-League, erzo77 for translating the first J-League file (and providing BIN files for other teams too), decoupe for pointing out a lot of additional duplicates and for translating the second J-League file, angeltorero for his national team fixes, nicoultras for his banner text and rivalry data amongst other things, R8cha for creating the MLS, Krebstar (of Operation Sports) for providing tactics info, Glen (of PESWorld) for giving permission for me to include their kits which I'm really grateful for, 4N63L and carrasco1live (Twitter name) for the remaining kits (of which there was a lot), and Larkylarkinho for his Championship stadium photos.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Once you've downloaded the file, extract the WEPES directory onto a USB stick (making sure to rename it to WEPES, and that the folder is in the root of the USB drive). Insert the USB stick into your PS4.

Once in "edit mode", go to "data management", then "import/export", and begin to import the BIN files from the stick.

IMPORT THE INTERNATIONAL TEAMS FIRST, WITHOUT IMPORTING THE OTHERS! (THEY SHOULD APPEAR FIRST ALPHABETICALLY, WITH AN "AAA" PREFIX.)

When you're presented with two tick-boxes, always tick the bottom box (which says something along the lines of "include squad data").

After the international teams have been imported, import the remaining BIN files in the same manner.

With the remaining teams, tick the bottom box again - although with the English Championship teams, you don't need to tick this box.

Once they have all been imported, you can move onto the new Premier League competition logo. THIS MUST BE INSTALLED MANUALLY.

To import this image, go to the "import images" section, select the "competition logos" category and import the Premier League competition logo as seen on the USB stick.

As the image has the same filename as before, the Premier League badge should now change to the smaller form automatically (to make more accurate-looking sleeves).

After this - no, you're still not completely done yet...

In the new "Competition Names" image included in this download, I have made two changes - one for the MLS and one for the J-League.

It has come to my attention that the MLS kits have MLS logos already on the sleeves, as they change colour for each team (so a single emblem cannot be used).

Emblems should be turned off for the MLS competition. You can do this in edit mode, within the "competitions" menu option.

The J-League kits, in real life, feature a slightly different logo on the sleeve from the official J-League logo - however, I personally prefer seeing the emblem, even if it's not the exact one used.

I would therefore recommend turning J-League's emblem setting to option 1 - again, you can do this in edit mode, within the "competitions" menu screen.

Finally - some have pointed out that the Spanish second tier is now called Liga 1|2|3 and has a new badge. HOWEVER... This badge is not featured on the sleeves of the kits.

The badge that actually appears on these sleeves is the same as the one that appears on the top tier sleeves! So, for complete accuracy, you could rename "LaLiga 2" to "Liga 1|2|3" and change the badge from the current one to the same emblem that the top tier, "La Liga", uses.

However, this is entirely personal preference - I, for example, prefer it how it is, even though it isn't the actual emblem (because two leagues with the same logo is confusing)...

AND NOW... You're done!

ENJOY!

PROBLEMS?

If you have any issues, please reply to this thread and I'll look into them. I won't have as much free time from now, but should there be any duplicate issues that apply to everyone (remember, your "live update" might provide problems that other people don't have), I'll happily look at some kind of fix(es).

DONATIONS

I hope this option file provides some happiness. If you'd like to donate for the hard work that's gone into putting this together (and providing updates), I'd be very grateful! But, either way - thank you for downloading. DONATE VIA PAYPAL

Can someone confirm its only the stadiums that have been added for the championship teams? No mods to anything else, championship wise?

I've added these already so will omit the .bins if it's just pics.

I think it is possible by editing the PS4 bin files on PC
I will check it later

How are you editing bin files on the PC? I tried to find an utility to do this, but it seems there is none. Have you reverse engineered the bin files' contents?? If so, this is huge! We could implement a function to check for clashing players (i.e. importing teams from different OFs)

You could consider integrating iRobsteR's work, which was an update of R8cha's MLS...though with the work you've listed that was done, you two may have overlapped some of the same tasks.....either way, the work iRobsteR did was legit.

Will have a look at that file. Can provide the link. I will most likely replace some of the teams like Valencia5 suggested for my personal file. But I will put it off with the November update so close.

Lastly I make a face fix for the 2 classic team and some stats changes. The faces in the original file was not the best. The face will be based on the age indicated in the original file. Took me 2 weekend to update them. As for the stats most I get from pesstats. Mostly are missing skills. I will post some pics today or tomorrow night.

I have used programming to edit bin files on PC

However I think checking clashing players is not an easy job

I checked the bin files quickly for some ASCII data, but since I didn't find anything I have not touched it since. However, I have an idea. We would need to load all .bin files we want to compare (let's suppose, DFL's Bundesliga, R8cha MLS, a friend of mine's Brazilian 2nd division etc). The app would then search for the same instance of each player's ID number, and if there are any conflicts, generate a list.

I have tried to import a different set of South American teams with DFL's files and everything turned out to be a mess. Having a tool that allows to see which players will be moved around when loading a .bin file would be extremely useful.

Yes it is indeed only images for the Championship stadiums that are included. I already have them too, so no need need to use.

Oh yes, checking players with same player ID is possible in that way.

I thought you are saying duplicated players.

Duplicate players are a whole different problem... I believe the Free Agents roster cannot be exported, but I'm not sure on that (got the game last week). This feature would be just to make cross-OF leagues compatible with each other.

How are you editing your bin files on the PC? Hex editing? Was that how you managed to create the .bin file for Mamelodi Sundowns?

I decoded PS4 PES export bin files. I use "WE United" to create Mamelodi Sundowns. Then I export it and change the IDs inside the bin files.

all,

I have found, so far, 2 players in my 'free agents' list in ML that are fakes. I thought these were excluded from the ML.

The players are S. Al Alim who is Belfodil - Algerian national team.
And T. Casero - from the PLA league.

Is there anyway to get rid of these, don't mind T. Casero so much but S. Al Alim is annoying as there is effectively now 2 X belfodil's
