One question:

is possible to add some third kits to some teams?
I'd like to have third kits for Italian Serie B teams and i've created the images but the teams have set for default only home and away kits. There's a way to modify this? I know in the edit section there is: teams -> kits -> add third kit
but i don't know if importing the whole image of the kit would be enough or if i should edit the .bin file for the specific team (which i don't know how to do it).

i dont go around picking arguments. people saying im jealous because he has the most complete file out....well ok then take our kits out then tell me how complete that file would be? but thats neither here nor there im just making the point that people remarking and throwing insults just for the sake of it but by all means keep it up its a good look for you.

any ways as i said if cristiano communicates with me maybe something can be worked out but hes making quite the effort to ignore me which is disappointing.

He already replied to you earlier. He credited the base file he got the strips from, you're credited on that base files thread.

Don't even know where to start with your demands that he remove content. If you want your name added to the credits that's fine, anything else is pathetic. You don't have any ownership over created content, same as someone making a pirate copy of the latest movie has no ownership over it. Once it's out there anyone can use/share it.

Cristiano has been adding plenty of stuff people have provided in this thread, with content moving around so quickly it can be easy to lose track of who initially created the content. A quick note to add yourselves to the credits would have been ok, demanding (lol) it be removed? Do you honestly not see how pathetic that is?

It's in very poor taste to try to profit from something like this, coming in here as if you have some moral high ground? Please. Crawl on back to your website, at least you've shown your true colours so everyone will know to avoid pesworld in the future.

Not sure where all the issue over profiting from our file comes from, its available for free from our website, there is no profit to be made.

Our kits appear in the MLS, Championship and Euro National team folders. I applaud Cristiano for creating such a comprehensive file for everyone to use, but he should be crediting people for their work.

We make great kits, so i can see why everyone would want them in their file.

Editing is done to make the game more enjoyable for everyone, not to promote some poxy website. Once kits are out there they're fair game. Every other editor has been happy to have their content shared/reshared, no-one cares that you're trying to profit from it.

No one is profiting from it and everyone has the rights on the stuff they created. Who are you to tell anyone that their creations are "fair game"? Who are you to decide what editing is done for? Why does "every other editor" mean "all editors" to you?

Seriously, get a grip. If you put time and work into creating countless kits, which takes a lot of time, and someone takes them, posts them in his great file and doesn't even ask you beforehand, would you like that?

You only earn money if people visit your site therefore you've stopped posting the files on forums such as this one. Apparently that wasn't enough and you're now trying to remove competition to drive up traffic to your site.

Maybe it's only the owner of the site that profits from the above and you were unaware?:unsure:

I am genuinely interested too, although how someone can try and in essence "copyright" the copying of a graphical representation of a football kit that only the club has a license for is beyond me..

The thing is that people take their time to create these things for you. Not for someone to take their work and post it without asking. Such things only lead to negative stuff. Imagine that they who had their stuff stolen go on to say "well, then I won't be making any kits for next year, have fun doing your own then".

And if they all did that, then you would really have a fun time figuring out how to get those kits for your game next year, whether the club owns their logos or not.

And btw, all the "profit" talk is not true. You are free to spend money on PESworld, no one is forcing you to and you can still download their stuff for free.

Man sometimes this world is nuts. Money driven societies, and greed becoming part of human nature I guess....it's like, if all other people around you are trying to gain resources, people are going to do anything to try and make money.

I feel lucky enough I can do what I love and make money for it, but charging for OF sharing stuff seems like selling pet rocks....maybe bottled water...not even though, because in some cases bottled water has some superior qualities to tap water....

I don't see why people would pay for it when they can get a free one of the same, if not better quality because, the free ones are done out of personal interest for the betterment of their own game experience, and share theirs...

But I am damn sure the people claiming and charging for kits, and logos....FOR DAMN CERTAIN did not attain permission from like Real Madrid or MAN U, or more so FIFA, UEFA, and the different confederations, leagues, and clubs for the use of their kits and logos to try to gain monetary value. I would bet my life on it. Seems a little hypocritical...

Holy cow, the lack of understanding for glen's issue here is seriously baffling.

Instead of understanding that a credit would be the least Cristiano could have put in his OF, or saying "hey glen, thanks for the great kits, by the way!", you call his issue "douchbaggery"?

A lot of your favorite teams would look a lot less splendid without all their work. Try creating a lifelike kit yourself perhaps next time, so you'll get an idea about the work it takes. Maybe also try thinking before posting next time.

Click on that and anything you buy from Game will be linked to Pesworld and they get a cut. That's why they want to drive all traffic to the site and not community forums such as this one.

Don't know from which country you are but you're plain wrong. Anyone has ownership of created content. Real Madrid have ownership of their logos, but not of a kit file created by someone else. Which country are you from? Do you have such things as laws? Might help to read some of it and try to understand it instead of posting random nonsense like comparing created image files with ripped movies.

And, you use someone's work in your game and tell them to "crawl back to your website"? You must be a really nice person in real life. Have you already deleted all the PESworld kits from your game, since your trying to avoid them now?

I think pesworld definetly deserves credits for their work.
There are some issues that bother me, while reading all this angry discussion:

1st: the way and the "sound" of the words posted in here.
I think there are more polite ways to get in touch with somebody to clarify issues.

2nd: some kind of ignorance on both sides - i can understand that this makes people angry.

3rd: talking about stealing the kits. Sorry, but here, something is going into the wrong direction.
Stealing in terms of kits etc, would be, taking someones work, maybe changing something or remove the author sign and claim it as his own work. That is something Cristiano definetly has not done.

So, he USED pesworld kits without permission (no clue if the kits were posted with the hint of asking for permission to use them) AND he DID NOT GIVE ANY CREDIT.

I think in terms of mls he is "unguilty", as he was offered to use someones complete mls files. If the original author has not asked for permission, he is to blame. But at least the author gave credits to pesworld in his thread.

There are still the kits of championship and some national teams. I think not giving credits to the original authors is a mistake and some kind of no-go. The creators of kits take as well a lot of their spare time to create those things.
So giving credits is essential in this editing community.

I think there should be a way Cristiano and pesworld should come to an agreement and pesworld should be credited in a proper way they deserve it.

Regarding rights of created content: of course the creators have rights on their work. But I am not so sure if you have the full rights, when using protected trademarks like the emblems of Real Madrid etc if. At the point where someone tries to sell kits of teams without asking for permission to use such trademarks, we can talk about stealing

So, let's hope Cristiano and pesworld will solve the issues and everyone is fine afterwards.

If not, well, there will be other solutions i think that will lead to a complete file with nearly the same quality - i think

I just did not know that the kits used in R8chas File where PES Worlds, I credited everthing I used before, so I would have credited PES World too.
