Right, Time For Some Real Talk on This Fifa/PES Buisness

PES is just a harder game than FIFA and always was. Thats why my 9 year old nephew loves Fifa and cant beat anyone at PES, FIFA is designed to appeal to the masses much more so than PES is, the masses = people like you

In my experience this is what i have experienced. Fifa is easier to play because of its simple and flawless design. Passes go where you put them players run where you tell them. ...so simple ...yep a 9 year old can play it. Now if your 9yr old nephew is beating at Fifa ....then you need help with the game.

PES "Appears" to be a harder game because of its crappy design.
Have you ever been in the opponents half and tried passing a ball to a fellow team mate only a few yards away and your player just turns and kick the ball all the way back to the keeper? ...anyone...? maybe its just me.

PES will always seem harder because it is fundamentally crap. It is harder to pass on PES. They seem to have a mind of their own. Defenders don't even tackle anymore on this title, they just escort you to their own goal. Cursor change has my friends rushing to punch their moms in the throat whenever she tells them to stop playing the game if it is going to make them so angry and curse. Forget about shooting....more like shooting for the stars ....:w00t get it....the stars..? Only the big names can make shots, the smalller ....aww forget it.

Honestly, and no bullshitting. ......it was all about being loyal to PES a couple years back ...i was called a PES fanboy (still don't really know what that means) recently i am now just the opposite.

For me and obviously many, i have chosen to play the better game. One with less problems. One that offers a solid online system. One that doesn't need a change in almost every area in the game every year to make us believe its better. My motto is ....If it is not broken ...why fix it. Fifa has not been broken since Fifa 09.

Year after year PES has changed almost everything about the game. Messi, Messi, Messi and of course menus. They keep searching for the right formula but keeps falling flat. Their promises are still unrealized. The videos shown for 2011 tricked a lot of you ppl. But you are still here. Freedom my arse!

Fifa is now my preferred game.

PES is pure shit, open up your nostrils guys and smell what PES is cooking :unsure:

I am typical example of a pes fan that made the switch to fifa however I am firmly back in the pes camp this year.... I played fifa 11 for two weeks solid and then pes,... O.. If konami don't sort out the obvious flaws for next year I will be furious.

Will be interested to see what 12 offers but I think EA have run out of ideas and will focus on the online market even more. This is not PES V FIFA to me anymore and having to like one game more than the other if thats what your attempt at humour was.

The truth is SDP....you were never a "fanboy". No one is really.
You played Fifa you liked it then.....now you don't. You play PES and you like it now. So what? I guess it is the reverse for me.

Truthfully, there is no PES vs Fifa. Just you against my opinions and me against yours.

Hardly anything i say about Fifa is factual ..apart from its sales and position vs Pes.

My points and everyone else as a matter of fact are based only on my experience with the game. The stuff i look for in a footie game differs to what others may like....or dislike. I may find it in Fifa, others in Pes.

I hope both developers will have some refreshing new ideas for each title next year. But for now ....i am hooked on Fifa.

Look for the record I totally agree with you about some of PESs flaws, the defence bug for one, and many others, personally I dont have an issue with the passing but whatever.

What I will say though is that despite its flaws its still a harder game to play and always has been. PES2010 was a good game, a little simplistic in certain ways but fun, and it was 10xs harder than Fifa10 which I managed to pick up in about 3 games to a reasonable level.

Now having played PES2011 alot more I concede that certain areas are broken, but still I cant enjoy Fifa never have been able to, the whole game feels shallow and boring to me, even with its flaws I prefer PES11 which sounds perverse but hey I just hate EA sports games (except the US ones)

Mate ashamed to say I was a massive fanboy until pes 09 came out(despite the atrocity that was pes 2008) and I failed to accept for a few days that fifa 09 shit all over it. FIFA 2008 was a superb game as well, a much more balanced game in my opinion that actually felt like football, its just a shame for me personally that EA didn't build on this enough. Although I much prefer PES, I would say all manual human v human games on fifa 11 are as good as any football game ever made.
