Greetings, salutations, bonjour, konichiwa, goedendag, etc, etc...

Yeah, I'm new here...anyways, a little something about me:

Born and bred in the US (Northeast, Connecticut to be exact..close enough to both New York and Boston to visit, but without the hassles).

Big sports fan, with ice hockey, football, and baseball being my faves...I only really pay attention to American football and basketball during the playoffs..and even then, it's kinda iffy). Figures the sports I love to watch now are the ones I played growing up (well, except for hockey, seeing I can't skate  )..However, my playing days came to an end once I graduated high school and went to college for the first time...

I spent 4 years starring in a reserve DMF role on my HS football team, managing 1 goal, 3 assists, and a few bookings along the way...not exactly the road to glory there or anything lol.

I really started watching football during the Italia '90 World Cup. Well, attempting to watch it, seeing that TNT's coverage (they had the rights in the US then) was gawd-awful (commercials DURING play and all of that, meaning we missed stuff that happened), leading me to tune in the local Univision station (and to this day, I'll watch some of the World Cup games on there...I may not totally understand Spanish, but I can kinda get the gist of what's going on, so I can thank football for that  I watch the EPL & Serie A (thanks to having Fox Soccer on my cable system) and will be watching a bit more of some other leagues this coming season (thanks to ESPN's online service, which is gonna have the Eredivisie and Ligue 1 among others next season, thanks to Setanta USA going into the toilet). MLS isn't my cup of tea, but I do watch from time to time and have been kinda itching to go to a match (Red Bull New York would probably be the place I'd end up, seeing it's closer than Foxboro.)....

As for the gaming aspect, I started off with EA's efforts on the Genesis before kinda not playing for ages. I recently decided to give football on the console another shot (XBox 360 here)...I got FIFA 10 first, was kinda meh with it, then picked up PES 10 on sale at work (I work at one of those nice big box stores..the one with the doggie as a mascot  ) and found myself amazed. The ONLY thing FIFA has in its favor is variety of teams and leagues. Other than that, PES crushes it like a grape, thanks to the Become a Legend (blows Be a Pro out of the water) and Master League. Having the added bonus of being able to play UEFA Champions League and Europa League as well is brilliant...just my 2 cents.

Anyways, I stumbled on to the site while looking to see what I can do to change some of the teams around on the 360. I saw the additions (gonna add them soon) and started poking around in some of the other areas of the site. I like it.

Thanks!
