After watching the videos posted on Youtube of Football life on the 80% complete PES2012 its made up my mind. Shit at it or not, I'm getting PES2012. The Master League offline mode looks the best it's ever been. I wish the demo had at least touched on that segment of the game in terms of getting a fuller preview.

. I think the league should be more based on the skill of the player, than the skill of the team.

I disagree.People who use smaller teams should be rewarded a lot more!!When you are high ranked using a shit team you get punished way to hard when you get beat by Barca/Madrid etc when facing an average player..There should be a big deterrent from using superstar teams.

Well I seem to remember it being quite early in the game... plenty of time for me to score.

I was actually thinking we could have a community league of some sort. Even if we just set it up on here and play exhibition matches. Have a round of fixtures each week. Basically, you'd arrange a time with your opponent, then create a match room and play your game. To make things fair, each player could be randomly assigned a team to play as each week (it could vary every week to keep things interesting). Obviously, to make things fair, teams should be fairly evenly balanced, and the top top top top top teams [/Harry Redknapp mode] should be excluded.

I like this idea. I'm not on PS3 like most of you guys and am instead 360, but I like the idea of a little league, played through the online exhibition mode and it could probably rack up enough activity for all formats (PS3 and 360, not sure regarding PC). It'd depend on the activity and how many people were up for it though. Could it be possible to maybe even do something like every person picking something like three teams each...one top rated team (I.E Madrid, Barca, United, City, Chelsea etc), one upper card team (I.E Liverpool, Juventus, Arsenal, Valencia, Udinese, Spurs etc) and a more midcard to lowcard team (I.E possibly Villa, Villarreal, Stoke, PSV, Fulham etc), of course more teams from different leagues, but you get the gist hopefully. Not sure if it'd work, but just something that came to me. It'd just be much more fun to use a variation of teams rather than just the top teams, but it'd also give you the chance to use the top teams too, so you'd have a mixture.

Personally I'd be up for teams outside of the real big ones anyway.

Does Arsenal still count as a "big" team?

I guess we would need to have two leagues if we get to use two teams, which would be cool. I don't have a probem with any team, I just don't want to play against Barcelona five times in one season.

I agree, simply play exhibition matches, but with us organizing a league schedule ourselves, it sounds simpler.

I don't like the idea of random team assignment, I would prefer it if people just pick whatever team they want to play with. I think teams like Atletico Madrid, Boca Juniors, Tottenham, would be cool; teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid could fuck the balance.

Though, to be honest, how many people would participate in the league? I can see how big teams such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, are more than enough to have a balanced league with big teams. It would also be cool to have smaller teams as well.

I'm in, I call Chelsea as my team.

If we have to go with weaker teams, I call Ajax.

Keep me posted on league details.

What if we have a draft of sorts, individuals higher in the draft get first choice or teams are assigned to individuals instead of by individuals.

We could also set a limitation on players, say you can play any player as long as you overall player stats doesn't exceed (example) 935, average player rating being 85. this way players can play with superstars from their teams in any position but must sacrifice in another position, creating a team that's not perfect and must be managed.

just a thought.

It is happening again
I still like the idea of everyone just picking mid-med high level teams. I'm talking about teams such as Porto, Napoli, Spurs, Valencia, even Juve and perhaps Arsenal. The teams have attributes now, we could set a cap. To add to this default rule, we could allow it so that if BOTH players who are playing against each other want to pick a top class team, this should be allowed.

Furthermore, John Terry tackles about five or seven times in a game, because he is a CB, he is not often in a situation where he needs to tackle; on the other hand, a defensive midfielder does need to tackle CONSTANTLY throughout the game.

Have you ever watched a game of football and counted the number of times each player from each position tackles throughout the 90 minutes of play?? Let me tell you, it is a very high number, with the defensive midfielder, the wide backs, the center backs, the center midfielders, the forwards, all executing standing tackles at different times.
o go by, then you don't really have much of an IQ I'm afraid to say.

Yeah anyways, as many people have pointed out, you can just tackle when you want, by holding R2+X(pressure) and then releasing R2. Unless you actually want to control each leg of your beloved defending midfield one by one, but then I think synchronized swimming is more your sport.
Allow me to explain -- direct the left analog stick without the assistance of any other button -- what happens? What happens is that you will simultaneously determine three completely unrelated factors (1st) direction that the player is looking at (2nd) direction that the player runs towards (3rd) direction in which the player passes the ball.
Actually, you can do two of those at the same time. While you run (2nd) in one direction, you can pass (3rd) in another direction. It is briljant, you should try this.
As for your first requirement, if you care about which way your player is looking, ballet might be more of your sport.

Movement within space -- draw a circle on the floor, position yourself inside it, dance inside it, move inside or within the space that you occupy.

Movement through space -- draw a circle on the floor, position yourself inside it, then move to the outside space and continue moving indefinitely without ever actually moving inside the space that you occupy.

Oh yes, definitely ballet.

So Usain Bolt is better than Messi?? He runs faster than Messi, and considering the fact that you think that movement within space has nothing to do with football.... well why don't we have Usain Bolt playing for Barcelona and Messi taking ballet classes?

If I am running towards the west, and suddenly I change the direction towards the east, and the ball carrier automatically changes the direction that he is looking at.... simply because I directed the left analog stick without the assistance of any other button.... it obviously means that you cannot use the entire capacity of movement of the R3 button (right analog stick) in accordance to one direction of movement.... which is a massive limitation due to obvious reasons, because the amount of directions within space which can be implemented into every direction of movement through space is very limited, becuase the R3 button functions the very same way the D-Pad functioned in the PS2 games.

You fail to understand a very simple concept, and you sound like a fucking moron.

Usain Bolt is better what? At pes? He's definitely faster than messi. But that wasn't your point. Your point it's that you want more control of your players movement other than the movements used for transport. I get it. It's actually pathetic that you think noone understands you, you aren't exactly the genius of woody allen here...

Listen I was harsh on you. You have a point. It's 2011 now,we should have the right to enjoy running backwards in reverse. The numerous faints that include some backwards running are obviously not enjoy, we must be able to run all over the pitch back to back in reverse! Hell, even sideways!

I'm sorry I doubted you. You are by far the greatest ballet dan..excuse me, guru on this forum.

Juventus have a decent squad this year so they are a definite no no. Napoli are borderline as well.
