I think the Draugr, and the Ghouls from Fallout 3 play poker when we're not watching. :hmm:

Someone should definitely do a painting of that scene, like the ones with the dogs playing cards.

I dont think the Draugr Deathlords would be invited though. Every time they lost a hand they'd do that shout thing, storm off and everyone else would be left to play 52 pick up.

I recently started to play this again after a 6 months break. I'm up to Alduin's Bane and I only intent to play the main quest.

Re: Alduin's Bane

I spent a good 10 minutes fighting Alduin and keep wondering why he did not take any damage at all. I had to check youtube, and turns out you must let him finish talking before using the shout. I will try this again later

Found the Staff of Magnus after all. I had stored it in a chest in my Arch Mage chambers at the College of Winterhold so it seems my hoarding had a certain logic to it on that occasion.

Turns out I didn't need it anyway, all I had to do to close the rupture was twat a few of those magic anomalies and that was that. Dull.

Running out of things to do now and feeling a bit sad that I may have to put Skyrim away forever soon.

:(

Amazingly I managed to discover a new location that I'd previously missed, yesterday! Granted, it was only on the Solstheim island, but it was nice to know that there's still the possibility of more locations to explore, even after I though I'd discovered everything!

Sweey recommend any Mods that add stuff to the main game like quests?

Added plenty of texture, weather, lighting and general ambience mods.

I did know of some but when I installed Windows 8.1 and migrated Skyrim over, Nexus Mod Manager lost the list of mods I have installed. They're still installed, I just don't know what they are. Then, around the time I installed Fallout 3 and got it running, Skyrim started crashing to desktop at launch.

At that point, I've walked away completely. I'm sure you've been on Skyrim Nexus already - just look at the top 50 or so files and you'll likely find a couple in there.

Yeah I'll take a look tomorrow. Off topic, I rather like 8.1. As soon as I log in I click desktop and it's just like the good old days.

Jonno394 - 'Skyrim Mods of the Week' on Gamespot showcases plenty of mods. Some daft ones, but plenty of good looking and useful ones.

Ali cheers for the info, i'll have a look.

Just done the Bleak Falls Barrow area, everything just runs and plays much smoother on PC, and kb/m controls are great.

Installed the Val Lyrea mod, adds an awesome citadel in the middle of whiterun with a home, armoury, forge a few books and a good backstory (not much else though). It also gave me some good armour

Does anyone have this for the PS3? Reason I'm asking is because I've always wanted to play this game, but after my copy of Fallout: New Vegas froze so many times that it became practically unplayable (wasn't even able to finish the main storyline) I made a promise of never buying another sandbox game for my console ever again. Problem is that I don't have a gaming computer and I can get it relatively cheap at the moment, so I'm quite tempted to acquire it. Does it become unplayable like Fallout: New Vegas?

I never had any real issues with playability until it got the point when I'd put in well over 100hrs, had hundereds of items stored in chests, played all missions and sidequests, downloaded and played all the DLC etc etc. It could get pretty laggy at some points towards the end, but other than that it was fine. Loading times could suffer a bit.

Thanks for the reply Ali, I guess I'll take my chances with it then. If the game starts freezing so much it becomes unplayable I can always ask you to mail me the money I spent on it |D

BarnDoor you'll be happy to know I played this for about a good hour and a half when I got home today. Just need to get the opening segment out of the way again then I can kick on and see shit i've never seen before. Playing as a Breton, never played with a good magic user before.

Bleak Falls Barrow had to be done straight away though, I know that place like the back of my hand
