I used to buy Fifa because it came out a few weeks before Pro, but I would always get bored after about a week, just didn't feel right and I didn't have the same attachment to it as I do Pro. I'd end up selling it/leaving it on the shelf after I bought Pro. Seeing as there was only a weeks difference this year I didn't bother getting it. Played the demo though, but the feeling of playing that instead of Pro wasn't the same once again.

Won't be going anywhere near Fifa this year after playing Pro last night. Loving this years game.

I really like both games this year. Bought Pes last night and think its better than the demo.

Might also get fifa

I bought FIFA 10 last year and FIFA 11 this year. There's nothing wrong with buying both PES and FIFA, last year they were pretty much equal but FIFA had the edge. This year it's the other way round, PES is better. Hope it stays like that for years to come, so I won't need to buy any more FIFAs.

I have bought both games, so both companies have my money, but after being a devoute PES fan all my life i think i've finally made the switch over to FIFA.

PES is hugely disappointing this year for me. A step backward from last years game which, despite what some people said, was still enjoyable for me. I just really can't enjoy this years gameplay at all. You can't run more than 5 yards with any player without being outmuscled. The passing system is still flawed for me and the first thing that occured to me when i started playing it was "have Konami accidentally released an old build of the game?".

FIFA 11 on the other hand, is well polished and thoroughly enjoyable. Each to their own of course, im sure many people will feel completely the opposite. I may play PES every now and then to reminisce but i think i've rapidly turned into a FIFA fanboy in a matter of weeks.

I've had fifa for the last week and have gotten bored already. I've given up playing against the ai as it's the same match every.single.time. Considering i managed to play pes2010 master league up until august i can't wait for my copy of 2011 to turn up, hopefully today :D

Hmm, yea the AI feels the same as last years(FIFA's), pretty much all matches are the same and most goals are 1 on 1's. Still, FIFA is a good game, it has flaws though.

I don't think FIFA is easier, i just think its more enjoyable. When you score in PES i don't think its all that rewarding anymore. I play on top player and the difficulty wasn't much different to last year, i scored just as much.

FIFA is just more refined, and the online is flawless too.

I've had countless laggy FIFA matches, plus I hate the cartoony graphics! But yes, it is a complete-ish game. Pro on the other hand required time and patience whereas in FIFA, through ball = goal.

bought fifa and pes this year and to be honest the only thing better on fifa is the fact that all players are licenced and the online is better but apart from that pes is much better this year often it felt like i was back in the old days playing pes5/6, its dat good. (in my opinion)

I always get both games. And I already got fifa 11 this year.
Last year and the year before that, I made a switch to fifa.
But this year I am not sure yet.
I am 100% positive that fifa will be more complete BUT:
I already had enough of HORRIBLE AI and cheating on fifa 11. This is the 1st time a game did this to me AFTER A WEEK.
I mean overall, it's a great game, BUT I CANNOT PLAY IT ANYMORE. IT'S JUST WAY TOO MUCH. If the AI was challenging by outsmarting you then I would accept it, but not in fifa 11 where if they want to score, they become indestructible and will have superman strength, then they will cross, and head the ball in my net and I cannot do a thing.
If I time my jump then the AI will still get the ball
If I try to tackle, they avoid it like messi
If I try a standing tackle, I get the ball, but they get it back or get a foul even if I got the ball first
If I try to pressure them, I get 2 players trying to shove him off the ball, but he still passes with superman strength
If I try to wait on him to make a clean tackle, he shoots and scores aswell.
I got tired of this after a week. It's making me angry all the time because things like that are unacceptable.
They did happen in fifa 10, but not nearly as much.

I'll see about pes when I get the chance to play it. Right now, I don't own the game. But I am sure I'll find negatives aswell.

I agree with the cheating on FIFA, especially on Legendary. Also, the fact that you can't really score unique goals in FIFA, just 1on1's and headers gives PES an edge.

Now I have it I can honestly say it's the best football game I've played for a very long time. Pes is properly back!!!!

i have both and i must say i'm enjoying pes more. i feel as though the refs in fifa have a personal grudge against me, never giving me free kicks for fouls that would get you charged with assault but giving the ai free kicks for feck all. that and my players can't seem to pass the ball 3 feet without it going astray. i do still quite like it though but once the scottish option file is released for pes i'll probably not touch fifa apart from online

I disagree, i have played my mate on pes 2010 for the last year and continually lost. The way i lost games was not through him playing well, it was through the flaws in pes 2010 ie keeper blunders mainly.

We played our first session of games on pes 2011, and to be honest i creamed him tonight (not literally i might add). Talk about satisfaction you get from some goals you score, i scored a screamer with drogba.

In pes 2010 he would just sling crosses in the box and ALLWAYS score from them, in pes 2011 he tried the same tactic and i was able to clear them. Pes 2011 for me is an absolute joy to play now, i did find most goals i gave away was down to my bad defending too.

Great stuff. :D
