Never thought i would vote for FIFA. But this year represents better the beautiful game and is more realistic and not so arcadey. Plus, EA did try to present something new, while Konami fooled us. It is a pesgaming forum as Buswhacker says, and we should press Konami to fix PES! The only way is by telling them that we feel cheated and disappointed. Plus, I do feel FIFA this year is- if not better- in the same level as PES. Sorry guys, i love PES but i m not a fanboy...

If Konami don't come up with a solution regarding the online/offline play, then I'll be left very dissapointed. Something I've never felt with PES games before.

No contest.

PES might've taken a step back in terms of options, but the gameplay is so superior to the stifled FIFA that it doesn't matter.

Oh & before anyone screams 'fanboy', i actually got FIFA first, hoping next gen would iron out some gameplay issues. It didn't.

but have you played fifa08 mate? cos the gameplay is far better than 07 was

As i said, i had FIFA first & played it every night for a week. I agree the play in general has improved, but the AI is a little ropey compared for PES, passing feels less intuitive, and the shooting on FIFA is just plain odd. I haven't bent a shot like that since Sensi on the Commodore 64!

Although fifa has improved every single year it still doesnt feel like football. It looks like football, it sounds like football but it doesnt feel like football. Pro evo feels like football !!

gameplay wise i think pes still owns fifa but i have been playing the manager mode in fifa since it was released and i have to admit it has much more depth than the master league. pes makes up for the crap features with fantastic gameplay while fifa makes up for the average gameplay with a brilliant manager mode. this is the first fifa i have still been playing after a month and i am still not feeling the urge to trade it in yet( aaarrrggghh whats happening to me???)

Well I haven't played Fifa however for the first time I inserted my new PES game only to be left feeling bitterly disappointed.

on pc, fifa08 isn't as good as the ps3 or the xbox it's still current gen, i think the thread was about those 2 versions and comparing them to PES, because konami went next gen on all three platforms (including the pc). I wonder when we'll start calling next gen current gen it's getting kind of irritating.
