This year PES 2010 has made major steps in terms of progress and innovation in regards to its rival FIFA.
We have played the beta close to a week.
Konami has put in alot of effort improving visual appearance. Players look foto realistic. Especially international well known players. The game engine is still based on the Ps2 engine, and will be familiar to those who have played it in the past. (This brings me more tears then joy).
Gameplay:
The gameplay is the same as always. Low Pass, High Pass, Shoot, Trough Ball etc.
Pressure with AI help or moving keeper out with triangle and the most brilliant part of all are the strategic options.
In this version Kaka and C.Ronaldo are at Real Madrid but players like Benzema and Xabi Alonso are not. Etoó the lion beast is still at Barca.
Menus:
The interface is more enjoyable and user friendly. The new modes are lovely.
New is PES MANAGEMENT that brings new elements like:
- Scouts
- Sales
- Flight Agencies
- Technical staf
- Ensurance companies
- Sponsers
- Fans
- Transfers, Income, Outcome, and much more.
Also confirmed is the new Chant detection and commentary by Canal+ analist Carlos Martinez and analist Maldini. We cant judge this right away because it was in beta stage and still needs to be updated.
License:
In terms of licenses Konami is making major steps.
But the England League has two clubs licensed, Bundes Liga is totally fake. EA has the rights. Spanish league has 12 clubs licensed. Maybe this will be updated in the future. The most significant steps are Champions and Uefa league. But its possible to edit the missing teams.
Complete leagues in are the Dutch, Italian, French. Also some top clubs from other European and American country's are in.
Ingame music:
Same as always, rock, disco, remixes nothing special in this version. But also some rare good songs made there way in to the game.
Spanish teams:
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, etc-,
Not official licensed Spanish teams are Almería, Getafe, Gijón, Málaga, Osasuna, Tenerife, Jerez y Zaragoza
National teams:
Spain is the best team this year followed by Brazil Argentina and Italy.
Edit mode:
U can edit all the teams but this year we have not noticed major changes or inovations in this mode. Its good, and familiar.
Controls:
The controls are based on 8/16 directional movement when running. But new animations hide this more then ever but not totally. When running slow u have more then 8 directional movement. With some new directional touches and animation here and there but not 100% 360 degrees. It still feels digital.
U can play with the D-Pad or Analogue.
There is a little delay in response time. One tenth of a second.
It seems like some animation are missing in this version and AI lacks a bit. But we are dealing with a beta version here.
Its still too early to judge this game, it has progressed alot. It still needs some finishing touches.
Alot of bla bla bla in the end. About advising Konami to get rid of this engine cause its getting old.
My opinion:
Online tournaments baby!
And they proberly have an old build and are fifa fans...
PS:
I'm going to sleep its 3 AM in the morning.... i will check for spelling tommorow!
Check winning eleven blog or pesfan blog in the morning they must have a newer build then the Spanjards...
