Suv's EPL 2009/10 Kit PNG's (WIP)

Essentially these are larger PNG's using high resolution logo's and sponsors in most cases and therefore show up in a higher quality once in-game.

The Lowdown
I decided id get on Photoshop and attempt to do improved versions of a few of the new EPL 2009/10 kits that were created and released but while doing this i decided id see how big i could make a kit template PNG before PES told me id exceeded its size limit. By doing tester PNG's with the help of 01strainey ive ended up with 847x1237. This is alot bigger than previous PNG's ive seen around so i thought there would be a good chance id get a higher quality look with the kits as the PNG's wouldnt need to be stretched so much. From there i started making some EPL kits from scratch and i think they've worked out well so far as im finding the smaller things like badges have more clarity to them once placed on a kit. Because of this ive decided to start a thread including the PNG's ive made so far so you lot can try them out, decide for yourselves and give me some feedback. If the response is positive i'll create more as and when i can but i would also like others with skills in kit creation to jump on board, create and post some 2009/10 EPL kits here using this size spec too.
Imo the size difference does improve the overall quality and they make not look any different from others around but once you try them in-game you will see the difference. Try them out people, you wont be disappointed.
Anyway, here's the ones ive made so far. Enjoy! :)
(Updates will be mentioned next to kit headers and in a notification post)

*Originally i actually made the away PNG seperately with the very thin vertical lines but once i stretched it a little with the PES editor they looked terrible so ive just used the in-game lines instead*

Alright dude. I've found that using Photoshop Image as 256x320 does the trick. They just drop and need to be adjusted slightly by moving or making smaller, but I've never had to increase the size of one.

Using a smaller area seems to suit some sponsors logos as It's impossible to find a higher res image for them, which is really annoying, haha.

Here's some examples of mine I've been doing, give them a try n see how you get on.

How do fellaz. I've spent the last couple days solid prepping strip designs for PES2010. I've been creating them for PES2009 just to test them and they're looking A+++!!!

Mostly I use the already uploaded team emblem PNG (select 'YES' from Kit Markings MENU) as it is always better quality than using the sponsor edit, unless required to do so.

Here's an example of a couple before I post the whole lot!

Looking forward to seeing what PES2010 edit is like! I've got all good quality logos etc saved so can crack on with once I get hold of it come October.

Peace.

BLACKBURN Home

WIGAN ATHLETIC Away (Know you guys are after a decent one!)

PORTSMOUTH Away (This may not be right as it's a 2nd draft and haven't tried yet but you see the quality I'm trying to achieve.)

looking good guys. just an idea with the everton one, i think if we wanted a reli accurate design, we cld try getting the white "v" to fit in with kit design no. 5 on the ingame editor, have it stem from that...any thoughts? ive tried myself but havent been able to line it up right

@ JackWhoBRA: Hey man:). So you honestly use 256x320 and never have to stretch them to make them any bigger?...even that Portsmouth away kit?..coz i made one very simular to that at around 300x400 and it still had to be stretched wider and longer. Thats really weird man coz i still have to stretch mine even at 800x1168...well trippy! Im now wondering if PES downsizes my new bigger PNG's eventhough im within its limits. Its officially twisting my melon now:erm:

@ cahill_552: Mnnn...i think i know the one you mean mate and its an idea that i'll look into when im next on there but the main problem i see there is the white triangle would probably have to be bigger than it should be to incorporate that PES shirt design, and tbh my current one looks pretty dead on size wise apart from the slim gap at the top when placed on the shirt accordingly. I will look into it though and see how far off that design sits from my PNG's set up. Cheers for the idea man:).

Hmmm...

Try these options...

////////////////
Create a NEW document on Photoshop
set PIXELS to 256x320 (can always change canvas size later)
resolution should be at '72 pixels/inch'
3 boxes ticked
drop down = Bicubic (best for smooth gradients)

////////////////
I'm currently editing your EVERTON Away to try get it absolutely perfect, v-neck bit chop the lines near neck etc... :huh: (The emblem is sweet by the way! ;))

////////////////
Also try using one of my edits and see what happens?!

Chow for Now.

Ok then. I'll give that a go when i get a chance and i'll check out one of your PNG's too man.
Damn, i totally forgot to remove the parts of the lines in the centre near the neck...easily sorted though. Cheers for the reminder :). Yeah that pink Everton emblem took me a bit of time if im honest LOL. The overall Everton away kit ive done comes out looking pretty awesome in game though so its worth putting in the effort imho.

I'm pretty much finished the ultimate version, just trying to get the black right as 0,0,0 is too black haha. I'll be sure to send you a preview today/tonight.

@ 01srainey: Yeah they look like some pretty decent kit designs to me man. Originally i thought West Ham's home kit had a checkered effect like your design but when i saw them on MOTD last week there didnt seem to be any checks on the kit at all. Also, it looks like you have the 'Beer' text below 'Chang' on Everton's kits and im pretty sure its not on the actual kits mate. Just trying to help :)

@ cahill_552: Not sure who's Chelsea home kit design you mean tbh. If you mean mine..thanks :). I do really like the way that one turned out tbh but i cant take full credit coz as i mentioned above the design, the original piping came from Mooseybaby's version which i just tweaked to be more accurate...the tweaks i made did make a solid difference too imo.

@Anyone: I still really wanna get some opinions on whether you lot think my larger sized kit PNG's seem better quality when placed on the kits in-game. If anyone has an opinion about this please voice it in here as i dont wanna do more at this particular size if there's simply no point. Thanks :)

@Suv, there are checker's? on the west ham kit, they are noticable when zoomed in. I should perhaps lower the opacity of them just.

Youre right about the beer thing. My bad

Ill try one of you kits now.
