The writing was on the wall as soon as I missed that 1-on-1, especially considering Barn's ill-timed "lol" comment.

I don't know what Mak was doing with that clearance, or whether he called for it all not, but either way after they scored the first it was inevitable that they'd score the 2nd, so I'm not putting him to blame. I was actually quite surprised they didn't bag a 3rd.
One thing that does piss me off a bit is Sweey's long range efforts. More often than not there's other players in better positions. I don't think I've ever seen him score one, in fact they rarely even go close.

Yeah, so was I. I took a nudge from the defender at the last second which was probably what caused me to put it wide. But then, my finishing stat is quite low - only about 72. I had a chance very similar to that on Sunday, which I did manage to score. Very frustrating.

You could've picked CAM if you wanted to. In fact I think you were better off there, since you seemed to drift around a lot.... which is kinda ok if you're a CAM since you have cover, but not if you're on the right and you keep running to the left leaving a big gaping hole.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. No offence is meant by it, but it's just an observation I had from last night.

If people aren't doing their job providing options on the left should I stand on the right looking disinterested and not offering a pass? No. That's part of why it happens - a cross-field ball is too dangerous as evidenced by the time I tried to play one last night and got it horribly wrong. There's a time at which to try and overload the full-back on either side to force a crossing opportunity. Yes it can leave the team being unbalanced at times but these things are necessary on occasion. Not all the time of course.

The thing is (and this is especially evident with more of us on), is that all that ends up happening is people getting in each others way. People were providing decent options on the left. O? was playing well, as was sred (or whatever he's called). When people start moving all over the place it just gets crowded.

Obviously I'm not saying you should stick in that RCM position for the whole match, you're well within you're right to bomb forward when the opportunity arises. I tend to push up more when one of the strikers vacates his spot, eg to collect a ball down the wing.

Clubs was a fucking disaster last night. I couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo and I think all of us were guilty of hanging onto the ball too much and chosing the wrong option (whether it be an unsuccessful dribble attempt or the wrong pass). We just didn't click all night.

In 2 games we were down by 1, missed a very good chance, and then ended up getting battered. First was when I put an easy shot wide, 2nd was a Mak 1-on-1 where perhaps the better option would have been to pass to me since I was free in the middle..... but then I probably would've fucking missed anyway so I don't blame him for taking the shot on!

Much preferred playing in def mid in the last game, though I definitely need a break from this game again!

I know exactly what you mean saying I should of:eek:hmy: squared it.
Because I was playing ANY I didn't realise it was me with the ball, Honestly. I thought I was controlling a midfielder running forward and when I clocked on it was me running past the last defender I just rushed a shot.
Really struggle controlling a defender and a forward. The forward always seems to drop off and when you play as ANY your fighting with your CPU players to get a good shape and makes it awkward to make any runs.

We use it every now and then, but the formation that tends to work best for us (IMO) is a narrow 4-3-1-2 formation - ie with LCM, CM, RCM and CAM.

Whilst I'm in here I have a message for [MENTION=163836]Mak[/MENTION] A few of us were discussing this in the shoutbox the other week, so it's not just my opinion but I feel I have to mention it - you need to stop raping the call button when the AI is in possession. Several times last night there were attacks that broke down because you called for it, and you also forced the AI defenders to play dodgy passes that could have got us into trouble. I know we don't want to keep the AI players in possession for too long, but there's a time and place for calling for the ball, you can't be doing it all the time.
