Barring that first game where i was admittedly wad - i havent played club properly in ages so was a bit rusty - i thought we had a couple decent games. The 3-3 draw with the great own goal was a bastard, but the rest we were pretty dominant in.

Barns trickler must go down as the "they should've cleared it they were fucking shit" goal award of the night.

I added another scrappy goal to my encyclopaedia of them. Its as though some part of me thinks scoring 1-on-1 is too easy so I'll hit the goalkeeper/post and then bundle it over the line while the goalkeeper and two defenders are trying to clear the ball. Don Baggio? Might have to change it to Don Inzaghi at this rate.

Got royally fucked off with hitting the post three times with headers from corners (twice in one game) but my last goal, a 30-yard blast felt good.

Don't forget the hundreds of times I've beaten people whipped it out wide to whoever plays on the right... not to see the ball come back! ;)

That said I'm not normally looking to go all the way myself, the plan is usually to hold onto the ball before trying to slip Barn or you in behind their defence. Last night it just opened up... I honestly expected to balloon my shot. I might change my name to Zebina...

We generally played some really good passing/running football and got fuck all in return. Scrappy build up and falling into each other and we score... no justice, but we'll take it.

Might need to open my eyes in the next session. Still, you missed my game of excellence - the 8-1 win where it was 1-1 at half-time and I scored three goals and got four assists. That one was truly Baggio :smug:

Clearly made up for it with some inconsistent finishing later on.

Sup gents, got a replacement copy from ebay so will be back in the fold early next week I hope (had another game of PES last night and wanted to throw my pad through the window half way through the first half of the first game). It is just a shame I couldn't have had a copy in time to give the wife for mothers day!!!

Where are we on the points front?

The less said about my 30-yard attempt after the ball was played over the defence the better. I volley it because I think if I control it I'll consider myself having too many options in a central 1v1. Perhaps I should risk it anyways.

Finished last night in true Baggio style, two goals and four assists in a 7-6 win and the assist from kick-off felt damn good, a nice ball over the defence into the path of Phats with DC also in attendance for insurance if I'd made a slight error directing it.

It was a good session bar the 7-1 loss with Four_Kicks joining us at the end for one.

I take full responsibility for at least two of those goals in that win. I was so relieved we scored pretty much straight after both my errors that led to the goals. :rolleyes:

I tend to take a while to get into games, so usually my first one or two games I tend to be piss poor. I was only so late to join because I was watching Watchmen. That was a terrible movie.

I need to get myself a headset. Half way through that match it just went silent for about 5 minutes, couldn't hear any of you. It's the same in the dressing room and match room thing. All I can hear is a fuzzy white noise almost, and can only make out the odd word. :mellow:

The game I played in first, where there was 3 own goals I think, was quite possibly the worst game I have ever played. I tried to clear it and ended up getting 'tackled' by the goalkeeper and scoring an og. Wtf..

My connection went shortly after which could only be good for all concerned. Did it pick up at all after?

Being paranoid/knowing how shit my internet connection is I thought it might be me but when I logged onto MW2 I had no problems.
