Really enjoyed last night.

My favourite moment was my volley in the must win 2-1 game when everyone got kicked out, I tracked back a lot and actually got a few decent challenges in for once.

Yeah that game was a stand-out. When we were down to 3 people at half-time and 1-1 I went to 5-3-1-1, hoping we could nick a goal and hold out. When you scored that fine goal I went to ultra-defensive immediately. We held out comfortably apart from that one long-shot when they hit the post. And of course it was win or bust (relegation).

I hated it due to everyone getting booted!

Yeah, you did well in that game, Apps. Barn worked hard as well. The ball just wasn't staying stuck for me though and I kept losing possession cheaply. Luckily nothing came of it. That shot that hit the post nearly killed me.

Nice that we have made a winning start to the new season with Sweey netting the winner in a 2-1 win.

I score very rarely - like every 20 or so games, but when I do... :eek:ohhh:

Appreciate the uploads Sweey, nice work. Imagine what a PESGaming montage would be like.

Still didn't go too well tonight - we lost 3 out of 5. Few things hurting us. Can't be arsed to discuss them now.

My mates and myself were on earlier and played 8 games and won them all. Clubs is excellent when you have a good day, however more often than not, the first touch and the re gen players just go mental and leaves upu so close to putting your foot through the TV.

Can be so frustrating!

In the game where I got sent off, played as ANY for the last 10-15 and conceded that goal from the free-kick I'd given away that led to the dismissal (long ball into the area, CPU player wouldn't move), the CPU players couldn't pass the ball properly.

Every short pass either had the wrong power or direction and balls forward were going all over the place. I just don't understand what was going on. I should have been more careful to avoid the second yellow though.

In that same formation a couple of nights ago we looked invisible keeping clean sheets and just wiping teams away, but last night are defence was awful. There was a moment in the game when our defender got took on and he hardly even moved, was ridiculous.

Corners are a problem. Increasingly these days opposition teams are setting up 5 at the back, and on ultra-defensive, the latter so they don't get caught out at corners. You rarely see a team break and score from a corner (unless the opposition have pushed up looking for a late equaliser) in real-life, yet it happens all the time in this. Teams hang two fast cunts up and seem to get more luck than we do in breaking. I could just go ultra-defensive, but I don't want to be a coward. Otherwise there's three things we can do to combat this:

1) Don't call if the ball comes to a CPU player outside the box, unless he's in a crossing position. If left alone he tends to hit it, and it will most likely go high and wide. Otherwise he might do a shit pass which the opposition intercepts.

2) If the ball breaks to you outside the area, don't try and wriggle an opening for a shot in the centre, because 9 times out of 10 you'll lose the ball. Look to play it out wide because it's always congested in the middle.

3) Sometimes we have as many as 4 in the box, which seems unnecessary. If you start in the box, one or two of you might want to think about moving to just outside the penalty area incase the ball breaks to there.

i hate the "fast break" that ensues after a corner on FIFA13. The reason is that the ball is never free in this game. You never see the ball just bouncing on the pitch. Its always on someone's foot. A defensive clear from a corner sails easily to a forward for an unrealistic counter.

I have complained about this on EA's forum dozens of times now.

We always get hit on the counter from corners, but rarely ever get the right ball out of defence to be able to do it to the opposition. Our defenders always just panic and hoof it out for a throw in (a throw in they will refuse to close down on, and they will get an easy, cheap goal from).
