This thread is buzzing at the moment. Awesome work lads!!!
I'm with you guys, if Konami doesn't bring anything new to the table I'm sticking with this years, which I'm still loving months on.

And I am almost tempted to update PES2017 with the transfers and kits for 2017-2018 season and skip PES 2018 entirely...

That's what I did with PES2013, but when PES2015 came out, the game was so much better I had to switch.

In the end, if the new game is good enough, you'll always switch. Because editing may take time, but the gameplay can't be edited and that's the most important part of the game.

I'll only change to PES 2018 if the game has good new things. I would like if they make more fake leagues and teams for editing. They already gave us the possibility to edit the fake Other Euro Teams, so we never know.

Something I would like (but I think it won't be possible) is that we could import our PES 2017 bin files in PES 2018, it would save a lot of time to editors like me, we would only need to update the teams with the new players and a lot of them would already been done...

Hahahaha, when I was creating him I thought he was too pretty but with the limited editing tools. I should have just base copied Troy Deeney lol

Glad you like it mate Champagne Charlie and Gillhaus play well together

I forgot to mention don't know if you realised but I put the Gothenburg shirt numbers on the players who were involved in that game and left the rest as I wasn't sure what they would be

Cheers

Just my thoughts on staying with PES 17. I think it will be difficult to stay with it if as expected 18 moves on leaps and bounds. I just hope they make the editing tools more extensive plus the ability to copy over the already created bin files. Also fingers crossed that they get more licenses I.e. Real Madrid, A.C. Milan and Juve would be good image the classic players they could release there.

Anytime, I'm just glad they work well & at least one person is enjoying them.

This is the big thing for me, whilst it would be nice to have umpteen leagues and all the licenses under the sun, surely they have to give us the ability to port to the new game. I don't know much about game coding but would the player ID thing mentioned by Harry earlier be a big stumbling block for this or make it easier? Would all players keep their basic ID number or is it linked to the team so for instance if a player (Aubameyang) moves from Dortmund to Arsenal over the summer so in PES 18 does his ID number change from 302345 say to 000001? Does this make sense? Or am I rambling pish?

It would be like a unique ID that doesn't change, so we as editors could have a list of ID's and assign new players to that ID so we would never have duplicates. It wouldn't change if that player was transferred. They have ID's now but we can't see them ingame.

So in theory this is something that could be opened up to the community & easily transferred from PES17 to 18, as I don't imagine Konami would want to start from scratch either, making bin file sharing from PES17 to 18 a distinct possibility? Unless there is licensing issues with the copying of players with image rights (yeah Maradona, I'm looking at you :realmad:)

I think that would be the issue for them, the image rights will be per game I would imagine. Maybe not?

Either way Konami wont make it easy for us.

Amazing work Trev!

Would love to see Norwich, the likes of Jeremy Goss, Robert Fleck and Darren Huckerby.

Indeed.. Ruel Fox, Bryan Gunn, Mark Robins etc.. the early 90's squad was very good. and an excellent strip to boot, very easy to do Pip ;)

Player ID's remain the same as past Pes's. An easy way to view them is to look on Pesmaster. They are the digits at the end of each individual player's url when viewing stats. Team ID's are also available to view with the same method. When something goes from licensed to unlicensed. That is when they change the ID. But they also block or remove the licensed material from the newer game. Probably a result of PC users using data from previous games over the years. So although the ID remains unique, when called upon..it is blank/removed.

In all honesty I think Konami will focus much of their energy on MyClub again which isn't a great mode. From pes 15>16 There was one simple thing they could have done to make it more playable. Fixing the team levels which many requested. It's the end of 17 and they have still not fixed that extremely basic problem. There are many other basic problems which they don't fix. MyClub is their hopeful year long cash cow so in business terms it is understandable they focus on that.

There is nothing truly unique about MyClub mode though. What is unique to fifa, is the capacity for editing as well the love of many users willing to do this. This is a predominantly editor based forum and is a lot busier then the MyClub section on pesfan. Even at its height of popularity. At the moment we use the editor as far as we can bring it and many do respect it and are interested. It can be taken a LOT further though and with that a lot more interest can be gained.

Things haven't been improving over the years in reality for editing. We can import/export but this is something we could do on pes 6 lol. It should be considered the basics. Less facial options/special hairstyles etc. No stadium editor etc. Less Call names...They need to go backwards to go forward and keep these options available in each new instalment to convince people to move on. Agreed with Rebelinho on gameplay being a big factor... But IMO for each generation of console it does not change so much year to year.

Thanks for the Standard Liege kits RedTed. Maes Pils really went to town with there advertising. Looking at the kits I wouldn't be surprised if there original concept was to stretch their logo all the way down to the socks lol.

Ratmundo have you by any chance made any old school Alianza Lima kits?
