Its simple, videos will not do PES or even FIFA very much justice. I think FIFA shines more in videos because it has as rediculous amount of animation and they have a huge motion capture library that get expanded every year. I believe they only use under 5% of the library per game. Then again EA have been in motion capture business for years.

PES 2010 is a good game and animations have been expanded with the motion capture, but they arent in the same league as FIFA. Konami have done alot since then and provided a polished game which looks incredible and plays good. Have they done enough to keep the PES fans happy... only time will tell.

That post above is a massive exageration. Konami dont trust WENB? Then why would they give Adam code.

In the next few weeks much more will become clear especially with demo's coming out over the next month or so. A FIFA demo will hit towards mid sept and then a PES one that i predict will be available early october."

That is an opinion from SUFF ( who is credible ).

I'm not ruling anything out truth be told, but I think the chances of anyone bar a Konami employee having a code anywhere near 95% complete are pretty non existent.

I hope perfectstrik proves me wrong, I really do.

Well if konami falls short of perfectstrik super-advertising pitch, he will disappear for sure, because his posts has made him so famous in the pes gaming community, that it will be impossible to keep the same username without facing some very angry pes fans.

Though I can't stop laughing at the confusing reactions from the posters of the other sites. It's like they want to believe what Pstrik wrote but don't want to come off as being a believer, since the whole post sound too good to be true. Then there are others who completely dismiss the post, yet you can feel that they are wishing it to be true, they just want some good news to hold on to lol.:laugh:

Well to be fair to perfectstrike he gave his opinion.

But overall, he said that the gamescom demo vs the build he played is nothing alike.

I was actually spending parts of last night sitting here laughing hard, whilst you were sitting at your computer with your tin foil hat on going through the da vinci code for clues about the new game.

Beyondthought even put some of you lot on fifa forum for a laugh, I must say, they got their moneys worth.

I had to register to the forum just to say this:

Perfectstrik, please take a photo/video of you playing PES 2010 with some team that wasn't on the Gamescom demo. And would you please also write PESGAMING/PERFECTSTRIK on a paper and zoom to it while playing.

Since you are a reporter, you sure have a camera or at least a decent cell phone with a camera? No?

And last question, why you write like a nine year old if you claim to be a journalist? Your grammar is a joke :no: Since you live in Hampshire, I presume you would speak english as a mother tongue?

People can believe what want but please be aware this is not some kind of marketing genius by konami,the reason we thus far that we have seen very little of pes2010 in its current state is due to the code not being in a stable enough or in a finished enough state to go public where as the gamescom demo was stable enough code for the rigours of playtesting by the public in germany.

Remember back in july when the views of the first playtest where released and the hysteria over the lack of what seemed like any kind of innovation only to be advised one week ago 360 movement was in pes2010.

Even people like adam and suff at wenb are going to be suprised when they do play the lastest build at how much progress konami have made since the demo at gamescom and the version they played.

You show what you have in its best light you dont show up at a trade event with code that would of been very buggy and glitchy at the time of the demo being made for gamescom six weeks ago.

The gamescom demo differs very little from the code shown to the media and fansites in july and pes2010 is at a completely different stage now and other the course of the next week the various fansites and press will be sampling a near complete version of pes2010.

Is it really out of the realms of possibilty considering the amount of work that has been done by koami in the motion capturing department other the last year for the last 40% of the game to not see a quantum shift in the level of animation within the game.

Look closely at the gamescom demo wear at any point do you see 360 movement its just not implemented in this build of the game.360 movement smooths out the robotic movements and makes a massive difference to the feel of the game and the way it moves,all i see in the gamescom demo compared to the build i have is strait flat movements theres no play in the movement of the players and even the ball when it comes into contact with the players feet behaves differently.Theres a huge amount of new animation routines and the animation itself is very smooth and fluid.

Some remarks of Perfectstrik:s writings, this guy CAN'T BE a journalist what he claims to be. The editor of a magazine would never hire a guy who writes something like this, it would take ages to correct his writings.

He also uses capital letters extremely rarely and doesn't seem to know how to use apostrophes at all. Everybody else in this forum knows how to use capital letters and apostrophes, so shame on you mr. Reporter!

OK we all would dearly love to believe perfectstrik, that much is true of all of us, but seeing as we go through the same thing every year it makes us sceptical...

so after reading your posts a few things dont add up that i would like you to clear up so that we can all be less sceptical.....

IN THIS THREAD

Page 2: you say "the gamescom build is only 80%"
Page 52: you say "the gamescom build is only 60%"
Page 50: you say "you dont understand the build they have back in Japan now" (why not say the copy you have??)
page 53: you say "im not in Japan"
Page 53: you say "Konami cant show the 95% build at gamescom incase EA steal from it"
Page54: you say "EA cant steal from it NOW its too late" (now is gamescom)
Page50: you say "Konami has been working on this for 2 years"
page53: you say "there is only about 10% animations" (in 2 years?)
and you say " Konami cant show at gamescom due to not having licences" (after 2 years and only 8 weeks to go??)

i think theres more but this was quick and easy to find...

you see why some are more sceptical

so a perfect opportunity to test out their most recent build at such an event and receive feedback, and they've given them a crap old build to play around with. And you say it's nothing like the new build. So what was the point in leaving gamers disappointed. It's only going to turn away what remaining fans they have, apart from you who is just deluded. Not when its not ready and when you make the demo things are still being opptimised and fine tuned,konami just wanted to demonstrate the graphics at gamescom and show the public the ai assistance had been adressed as well as the invisible walls on through ins.
